December 30th
Not alot going on in the ALIEN world. There have been some new ALIELN References, from the 'Weaver Stance' (in the Koontz book), and that it is not actually named after Siggy Weaver, its just a coincidence. Thanks to Shawn1010. A few more have been updated, including the 'Evil Dead II' reference (or lack thereof).

December 29th
James Cameron will be one of the people examined in tonights 'Entertianment Tonight' tv show; they will discuss his diss'n of Linda Hamilton for Titanic co-star Suzi Amis (who ET described as a 'Titanic leading lady' ..yeah, right!)

December26th
Harry Harris's page has been opened! Take a look at a massive collection of ALIENS merchandise all nicely laid out, with pictures galore. It is the cool 'alien' site on the mainpage for a wee bit. :)

I'm almost caught up on email, everything from december 17th on needs to be answered though. Only 1 week behind!! :)

Over at the the On-Line ALIENS collection, there have been some great link updates! Steve Radler has new prop pics! (See 'em to believe 'em.) Tonnes of links. Give it a visit!

The great ALIEN : top 25 has been revamped! A new layout design and lots more room for info, give it a look! :)

http://www.geocities.com/area51/keep/7961
Another new page is in the ALIEN world, it is Chances Aliens Page!.

I saw the ALIEN Legacy cards locally, so check them out. They were released in early december, and are WAAAAYYY overpriced locally, so I passed. (I'm a student, so ya can't blame me!! :)

A new ALIEN related story is called ' "Chocolate Alien Hair Dryer Bunnies", click on the name to read it! The link will be on the fan fiction area soon! :)

December 24th
Lotsa goodies to tell ya about, but that will be later today I think. :) If I don't update today, Let me wish ya'll a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and may Santa get you all the alien related merchandise and toys you ever wanted. :)

December 22nd
Harry Dean Stanton, (The guy who played BRETT in ALIEN), starred in a Disney special that was on last Sunday....I think it was then. There was a quick advertisement for it that I saw on Friday.

James Cameron is on a Barbara Walters special TONIGHT and is about the '10 most fascinating people as picked by someone who has totally different taste than you.' He will likely talk Titanic.

Bill Paxton (I'm not going to tell you who he is) hosted Saturday Night Live over the weekend. I didn't watch it, but a dude emailed me saying it was so, therefore it must be right. :)

On the excellent Dark Horizons site, they report that actress Sigourney Weaver is set to appear in the upcoming Michael Crichton flick "Airframe." Gina Davis is also rumored to star. (Check out Dark Horizon's 1999 Movie Index for future updates!) Thanks to Sean.

More ALIEN References! Thanks to St Just. They are from 'IT' (the novel), Wolverine (the comic), and 'Uncanny X-men' (The comic....maybe upcoming movie.) Thanks St Just!!!

I plan on going through ALL of ALIEN 3 and making a *master* list of the music, as it was used in the movie in relation to the CD. Also, I'll detail what music was chopped form the CD, and make a chronological listing of the CD's music. I hope I can get it done in a few hours! :)

I found another old ALIENS article, I'll type that up quickly I hope....it will be in the 'ALIENS : People' section when I am done.. (not for a few days.)

James Cameron's divorce papers have been filed, he is splitting up with Linda Hamilton. (Sarah Conner in the Terminator Series.) Cameron had a flick with Suzi Amis (guessing on the spelling) who was in Titanic...Cameron couldn't keep his 'ol marital vows. :) he has now gone through Gale Ann-Hurd, Kathryn Bigelow, and now Hamilton. Yeesh!

This was one of the most paragraphed-updates I've ever done. More 2morrow (I think! :)

December 22nd
Yeah! Christmas Break! (finally!!!) So, I'm done exams, and dammit, I'll have an update later today. Nothing's gonna hold me back. :) So please stay tuned! (And thank you for your patience for the lack of updates recently. :)
Also, I *will* answer ALL the email that has been stacking up recently...so if you have not seen a response, don't worry! It's coming! :)

December 18th
James Cameron's next film just might be Terminator 3. The hollywood trade magazines say that Shwarzenegger & Cameron are in discussions to do the third movie....hey, it would be cool if it happened, but don't count on it! (Thanks to SS for reminding me about this.) Actually, this is pretty big news, so you can read about it just about anywhere.

There is a new 'link' in the pictures links section, to a site with a whole lotta ALIEN series movie screengranbs. It is called the 'ALIEN pages' and your can find the link near the end of the 'fan' pages section.

And the Hudson's Ultimate Badass Webpage is having an conest to win a copy of the upcoming 'ALIEN RESURRECTION' PC cd-rom game. Just Click Here to find out how to enter the draw!!

And Doug's alien site is being updated now, and you can join a mailing list to be informed about it! Check out Dougs Alien Page!

And Worldcharts is back... and the ALIEN Movies Resource Page is being ranked at *38th* spot! This is just 5 spots of the pages' best ever! so please, It would be *great* if you would VOTE for this page!
Also, Click Here to vote for the ALIEN Collectors Homeworld!

December 18th
There will be an update later today, like in a few hours....Sorry for the recent delay!! :)

December 15th
6 more days until my final exams are completed, then I will respond to all email that has been sent to me over the past few days... :)

Make sure to check out all the nicely discounted ALIEN toys at Wal-mart, and everywhere else now....its Christmas and these suckers aren't selling. Speaking of selling, go to Ebay, do a search on ALIENS, and see what you can find! :)

December 13th
On 'Newsworld' (CBC newsworld, the dedicated channel in Canada) there was a 'video picks' and for reasons I don't understand, they chose ALIEN and MIMIC. The gist was that these movies (they showed a few scenes from the chestburster in ALIEN) had 'women who were men' (Ripley) and didn't take no guff from no one (Mira Sorvino in Mimic.) They both stood up against the evil ALIEN / cockroach thing, and I think the reviewer liked that. I haven't seen Mimic, but at least they showed lots of ALIEN footage. :) Also in Mimic was Charles Dutton, who played Dillon in ALIEN 3.

In the new big-ass coliseum theatre in Calgary (that charges way overpriced amount for tickets) they have the 'facts on the movie screen' before the movie actually starts. In one, they wanted to know the similarity between Jessica Lange, Sigourney Weaver, and Charlize Theron. The answer was : "They all stared with Apes." Lange was in the King Kong remake (ug), Weaver was in the great 'Gorillas in the Mist' and Charlize is in the upcoming 'Meet Joe Young.' (Also a remake.)

Trailers are appearing now for the movie 'Hilary and Jackie,' and you can spot a few shots of Charles Dance, who stars as the father of Hilary & Jackie. Charles Dance played 'Clemens' in ALIEN 3.

Kdawg helped clarify the Canadian Bacon Reference, much thanks to him!

And I finally found a link on the 'ol Internet that I've been searching for ....well, for ages once I had found it a while ago. (woo!) It lists the top 'sampled' movies, (ALIENS is ranked 4th) and I have copied that info and is availible in the References section. It is quite an impressive list!! :) There is also a link to the 'complete' list. :)

December 11th
The 'ol website was down for about 9 hours this morning, sorry for any troubles caused. I have 2 final exams today, so any email will NOT be responded to until tomorrow at the earliest. :)

Over at Dark Horizons, courtesy of Aint It Cool News, there is some news on David Twohy's (ALIEN 3 ex-writer) new Sci Fi Flick, 'Pitch Black.' The gist of the flick is that an "accident forces a passenger starship down onto a sun-scorched and apparently lifeless world, yet there's an abandoned settlement nearby as well as eerie clicking sounds emerging from holes in the ground. The survivors must quickly learn to trust each other if they want to survive - for you see once every 60 years the planet is plunged into darkness and all the horrifying creatures who inhabit this world are nocturnal - they emerge from the ground during this dark period for one reason only, to feed." Cool no? This info was shamelessy ripped from Dark Horizons, for the full scoop go to Aint It Cool News. (These 2 sites rock, btw.)

And here is some extra-cool news from 'Sergeant Android"; The ALIENS vs PREDATOR demo has been released. It clocks in at *47* megs, so be prepared, and the minimum requirements are a Pentium 200!! Some of ya'll might need to upgrade. But, in the Sergeant's own words, "its a doozy." You can get it at agn3d. You can also get it from the January PC Gamer. Find more info/screenshots at avp.telefragged site. Thanks to the Sergeant!

James Cameron may be off the 'Planet of the Apes' remake at FOX....at least that is what Cinescape says. Just go there for the full rumour de jour. Enjoy....

Currently, the ALIEN Movies Resource Page is ranked 46th spot at WorldCharts! This is near the all time record of 33rd spot. You can help make the page beat the odds! An ALIEN page in the top 30 (woo-hoo!)
Just click here to make my life very happy. :) Only 13 more sleeps 'till Christmas!! (Only 10 more sleeps until my final exams are over...

December 9th
Well, it is almost final exam time for me, and ALIEN news has been fairly sparse...and I had a birthday....and that is my reason for the serious lack of updates on the webpage lately. But stay tuned, more is coming. I'm sending out an ALL POINTS BULLETIN to any reader who can transcribe ANY Alien related article, so the Alien Movies Resource Page can host it for all to see. Just type it in and send it over! Interviews with actors, actresses, production design info, whatever...just send it over! :) I'm waiting....

The Alien series widescreen / special edition doohickeys will not be released before christmas, so expect them in early / mid 1999. Doh!

December 5th
Bill Paxton will be on the 'Tonight Show with Jay Leno' on the 15th of December. This is to promotehis upcoming film 'A Simple Plan.' Paxton will also show up on The Late Night with Conan O'Brien show on the 18th of December. :)

References were added from Duckman, Contra, and Conan O'brien. Thanks to Hicks and Kdawg! :)

December 5th
The ALIEN Movies Resource Page had its most successful day EVER yesterday, in terms of visits to the website...almost 300 in one day!! And this is almost exactly 1 year after the previous record. :) Thanks to all the visitors, and I hope ya'll found what you were looking for. :)

Yaphet Kotto (Parker in ALIEN) is still working, unlike what some of you may think. :) As Dwayne Hicks reports : I just found some recent news in a "TV Guide":

"Yaphet Kotto plays a tough cop on NBC's 'Homicide'. But few people know that Kotto has previously written two episodes and is slated to pen one this season. Plus he has just completed his autobiography, 'The Royalty' (Cauldwell/Bell), the story of a Harlem kid who became a Hollywood star. He says the book is both inspirational and spiritual. And now he's ready to pitch NBC on making a movie out of it. 'There's more to black people than just guns and gangs,' he says. 'If NBC says no, I'll go somewhere else.'"

More ALIEN References will be blasted your way a little later today. :)

December 4th
Ack! I typed in a news update but I couldn't get it to save. I'll blame it on the 386 that I typed it in on... hehehe. There WILL be a nice update with references, news, toys...and more early 2morrow morning, or tonight if I can get it to upload. :) Also, there was no relevant ALIENS news when Bill Paxton was on Charlie Rose early this week.
P.S.... remember to vote for the ALIEN Movies Resource Page on WorldCharts by clicking here!

December 2nd
Why don't ya'll pay a visit to Get Infested!, as the good 'ol webmaster Gord has got a good whack of information on the upcoming Aliens comic book series, "Aliens: Apocalypse - Destroying Angels." As Gord says, 'It details more about the Aliens' origins, including some stuff about the Aliens' former "owners".' Could this be the next 'aliens' volume? I'd check it out!

Thanks for all you voters at Worldcharts! The ALIEN Movies Resource Page is ranked at 58th spot, and has been on the top 100 ranking for 35 weeks!! Lets make that a full year, ok? :) I need your help!
Please Click Here to vote for the ALIEN Movies Resource Page,
Click Here to vote for the ALIEN Collectors Homeworld! (which is back on the list!) Support your ALIEN pages! :)

December 1st
Bill Paxton was on 'Charlie Rose' last night, I'll watch the interview today to see if any ALIEN news was mentioned (I don't think any was.) Also, I have lots of new pics to transfer to the picture section, so stay tuned as to when that will happen.

Again, sorry for the delay on ALIEN news, but it has been really slow lately! However, go check out Darkhorse Comics, as there are several ALIEN series availible for purchase, inlcuding ALIENS vs Wildcats! Here is a great aliens comics page, Get Infested! Get Infested has also undergone some design changes! So check it out. :)

And for you James Cameron Fans, it looks like the very cool 'T2-3D' is making its way to the Universal Studios CALIFORNIA set....it is currently only at Universal Studios Florida right now.

November 30th
Take a look at Ebay for some ALIEN related goodies that are up for sale. There are actually some rather cool rareities posted for auction there from time to time...so it is a good idea to search thier site for 'aliens' every week or so...you'll never know what you can find!

November 28th
I've gone trhough some of the Links, and updated which ones don't exist anymore...I still have more to go through. :)

I'll try to add some more ALIEN news soon...Actually, I'll add more ALIEN links to the webpage today as well. There has been a bit of a lag in ALIEN related news lately, but lots of ALIEN toy news from the Online ALIENS Collection! A Brand spanking new prop page (you're right Willie, I'm drooling), USCM model/toy props, Armour pulls, and lots of bits of coolness. Check 'em out.

Its that time of the week again! Thanks to your votes, the ALIEN Movies Resource Page is back up to 63rd spot at WorldCharts!! But with your help it can go even higher! Just take a second and Click Here to vote! Thanks!

I'm sorting about a billion ALIEN images right now on my hard drive, I hope to upload a bunch of them to the picture pages soon!

November 26th
Let us observe a moment of silence, for one year ago today ALIEN Resurrection graced the silver screen, and it may have been the last ALIEN series movie to ever see production. (I'll try and post some actual ALIEN news later! :)

November 25th
I'll be updating the Events section later today....but set your TV timers to tape "Charlie Rose" (PBS) on the 30th (Monday), as Bill Paxton (Hudson in ALIENS) is slated to be the guest!

November 24th
A quick note to update yesterday's "HBO" Alien series airing notice :
Unfortunately HBO wont be showing "Alien 3: Bringing the Screams to the Screen" neither the making of "Aliens". Only "The making of Alien Resurrection" will be on as an "Extra." But still tune in, just in case. :)

November 23rd
Ivan spouted some knowledge that when HBO airs the ALIEN series in Early december (see the 21st news post) that there is likely something 'extra.' Previous airings of the ALIEN films on HBO have included a 'making of ALIENS' (which was likely excerpts from the laserdisc) and "ALIEN 3: Bringing the Screams to the Screen" which is different than the 'making of' ALIEN 3 that was included when ya bought the trilogy 3 pack in the early 90's. Sooo....check your local listings and tune into HBO!

The always-amazing Starchild has done some great snooping! :) As we all know by reading the news post from the 21st, Sigourney Weaver was in Entertainment Weekly's '25 Greatest Actresses' Issue. They had a few things to say as well... :

"When she auditioned for Ghostbusters, Sigourney did the scene where she transforms into a dog, and she got on all fours and started yelping. She manages to be likable and strong, which is so tough for actresses."
-- IVAN REITMAN (director of Ghostbusters and Dave)

As the jaded adulteress next door in The Ice Storm, she dares you one minute to take your eyes off her; the next, she's coiled in a fetal ball, shattered and broken. That trademark yin-and-yang duality is her greatest gift. Even in full-on Sgt. Rock mode in the Alien movies, Weaver, 49, can ache like a real woman and break just like a little girl. DON'T MISS Dave (1993), The Ice Storm (1997), Alien Resurrection (1997) NEXT A Map of the World, with Julianne Moore (1999)

Entertainment Weekly also asked the stars (including Sigourney Weaver) which male actor they would most like to work with in the future. And Sigourney picked....... Samuel L. Jackson, who you can see in the Star Wars EPS1 Trailer. She would like to work with him "because his work is always risky, always fiercely intelligent."

Entertainment Weekly and Sigourney Weaver both chose the film 'Half Moon Street' as the worst in her career, even worse than ALIEN 4. :) This is what they had to say:

SIGOURNEY WEAVER Half Moon Street (1986) Harvard-educated Middle East expert? High-priced London call girl? Even Weaver can't figure out who she's playing here. Still, if you've ever wanted to see the actress riding topless on an exercise bike while answering film trivia, have we got a movie for you.

Also, the latest trailer for ' Deep Blue Sea,' which also stars Samuel L. Jackson, has music from ALIENS! As Starchild vividly depicts: "The trailer stars out really slow and boring (I think the woman was singing "Amazing Grace" or something like that). But when the sharks show up........BOOM!!!!!! You get to listen to "Bishop's Countdown" in all it's glory! If you ever wanted to hear that piece in a theatre, this is your chance!"
I agree, try to check out the trailer in the theatre! Imagine, first you could see the STARWARS Episode 1 trailer, and then some ALIENS music... too good to be true. ;)

Now, I want EVERYONE to give out a virtual 'pat on the back' to Starchild... his contributions have been immense to this page. So everyone, stick out their right hand, and give a few pats'on the 'ol back. I know that Starchild will appreciate it! :)

November 21st
Sigourney weaver appears in 'Entertainment Weekly' in the 'Top 25 best actresses' or something like that. I don't know what she is ranked at!

Heads up! I need everyone to vote for the ALIEN Movies Resource Page at WorldCharts!! So please, lend a hand and take the 3 seconds out of your life and Click Here to vote! Thanks!

Some news from Ivan! :

"So that you know, HBO will be showing all Alien films starting Wednesday December 2nd. This is the schedule:
"Alien" Wednesday Dec. 2nd at 8:00pm.
"Aliens" Thursday Dec. 3rd at 8:00pm.
    "Alien 3" Friday Dec. 4th at 8:00pm.
"Alien Resurrection" Saturday Dec. 5th at 8:00pm
Keep in mind that this is only for HBO East, other HBO's might have different schedules. Also,"The Making of Alien Resurrection" will be showing all month long.

And more from the ALIEN Newsgroup! Thanks to ' wmvrrvrrmm!' In the latest issue of Dreamwatch magazine, Almost-ALIEN 3 director Vincent Ward is interviewed and mentions a bit about his Alien 3 woes.

Also from wmvrrvrmm, the author of the new book 'ALIEN Quartet' is interviewed in the recent issue of 'Uncut' magazine. (UK based.)

Jay (on the newsgroup) also mentions that an HMV (in Canada) employee said that the Aliens Director's Cut release date is December the 2nd. Just in time for Santa! he Aliens:Directors Cut going to be released?

And here is a little fact that Brian Pesti dug up : In the latest issue of 'Premier' magazine, there is a Bill Paxton Interview. Apparently, Paxton only made a third of the money that he did in ALIENS compared to a starring role in a Police Academy movie that was offered to him at the same time.

November 19th
On Tuesdays Entertainment Tonight show, they had a wee bit about the new STARWARS trailer hitting the theatres. They had Bill Paxton (Hudson in ALIENS) give some comments! He mentioned that this was the first time that he ever saw everyone leave the theatre after the trailer, and that a dude next to him said that the trailer was the best 2 minutes he's ever seen on film (or something to that effect.) :) Very cool!

Winona Ryder made an appearance on a tv show about photographers and the stalkarazzi in Hollywood (It was on 'The Learning Channel' I think). She wasn't talking about the photographers though, but about her agent, which she said she's 'had the same one for over 10 years, and would never switch...' (Don't worry, she chose to do ALIEN Resurrection all by herself. :)

New ALIEN References! From French Comics 'Zéro Absolu,' and 'Carmen McCallum' as well as from the japanese comic Gunnm, the show 'Space Hulk' and a French kids TV show, all thanks to Dimitri! :) :) Also, there are new ones for 'the Simpsons' (thanks hicks!), and finally : Pinky and the Brain (thanks again hicks!).

November 19th
I'm sorry for the delay on any ALIEN news, but I PROMISE that by the end of today I'll have a slew of more ALIEN references, some related ALIEN news, and hey, whatever I have time for. Another ALIENS interview? We will see! And everyone MUST get the new EPISODE ONE Starwars trailer. It is fantastic. The bad thing is, 1 billion other people want it as well...but go to the Links area, and go down to the 'entertainment nexus' link. (near the bottom)...... there is a nice 'theatre sound' enhanced trailer there..... ;)

Thanks to all of those who voted forthe ALIEN Movies Resource Page at Worldcharts! The page is up 1 big spot to 79. I'll post more on that later!

November 17th
Sorry folks, I've been sick for the past few days..so I have not responded to emails. But I'm gonna do that all today! So for all of you who have not had a response from me, and emailed me within a week or so ago, expect a reply very soon. :) I'll slap on some ALIEN news here later today too I hope! :)

November 15th
Dimitri A. from France passes on some troubling news...:
"In an interview on french T.V yesterday evening, Jean-Pierre Jeunet said that all the rumors about Alien 5 were just rumors, andthat there WILL NOT BE an Alien 5..."
I guess thats an Alien Movies Resource Page exclusive...but I think that this just may be a notion that Jean-Pierre Jeunet is not involved with ALIEN 5, or that it will be a few more years until the ALIEN 5 ball gets rolling. Ahhh, ever the optimist. :)

November 14th
Omigosh! 2 updates in one day!! (ohhh, ahhhh!)
And this update is actually ALIEN related. On the TV show 'Access Hollywood' on MONDAY, the 16th, there will be a segment on Bill Paxton and his "Gaurdian Angel" (I'm not making this up.) On Today's show they mentioned that this 'person/angel' has watched over him, and that Bill even had a role that was once considered for Arnold Shwarz...or was it Harrison Ford?? Anyway, someone big. Now, I believe that this person is James Cameron, I mean, who the hell else could it be? Cameron has had Paxton in The Terminator, Aliens, True Lies, Titanic, which were all Cameron directed ditties. But there ya have it, stay tuned on Monday!

And just a reminder to all those poeple who wanna get the Widescreen editions of the ALIEN series out there now (Alien, Aliens, Alien3) that the 10 minute 'featurette' are ALL THE SAME, (yes, exactly the same) ALIEN Resurrectionn prmotional clip that we've all seen 1000.43 times before. Be warned!

And I goofed. In the ALIEN 3 comics, the 'dog' is named 'Sparky' but everywhere else, he is 'Spike.' I've changed the Alien 3 People section to reflect that. I also found a new boo-boo in ALIEN 3 but I've forgotten what it was...

And I finally got a book that I've been meaning to getfor ages. The COLONIAL MARINES TECHNICAL MANUAL! Crap, this book ROCKS! I'll scan some of the amazing pictures in...this book really blew me away with its attention to detail. It is a MUST BUY for any Alien fan! You can order it through Amazon.com, just Click Here to access the BOOK!! (And really folks, this is an awesome book! :) Details! I love 'em!

November 14th
The ALIEN Movies Resource Page is dropping in the ranks at Wordcharts! Only *you* can fix that! (and only YOU can prevent forest fires. :)
Please Click Here to vote for the ALIEN Movies Resource Page,
Click Here to vote for the ALIEN Collectors Homeworld.

Now that the official ALIEN series site has gone the way of the dodo, it is up to the on-line ALIEN community to post all the goodies that it once had. Weyland Yutani Special Weapons Division : Aliens has done just that! First of the official goodies offered there is the 'ALIEN EXTRACTION' trivia game, and dammit, it is pretty good! (Come'on now, *try* to get 10 out of 10. There are actually some good facts stored in that trivia game. So make sure to give it a Peek!!

More stuff later! Enjoy the weekend! :)

November 12th
The ALIEN 3 cut-scene storyboards are up in the Cut Scenes section. Enjoy!

And from Dark Horizons, and a big thanks to the the Online ALIENS Collection's Newsletter :), here is some ALIEN 5 news, if ya'll wanna take the Spanish Press as the truth :

According to the some publications in the Spanish Press, FOX is apparently interested in Italian Director Vincenzo Natali to helm the fifth Alien film if it gets the greenlight. Natali is best known for writing/directing the cult horror/sci-fi hit "Cube" which won a swag of awards at film festivals in the past year. Thanks to 'Zinemania'."
Interesting, no? For more information on Natali's stuff, just Click Here.

November 11th
Som'more ALIEN References! There is one from Crescent, on a Terminator 2 similarity, and remember to read a Duckman reference, from GGStu (I don't think I ever posted that this one was up. :). Thjere is also a Predator:Captive reference (comic book) from An Alien Fan.

There are *2* new Fan Fiction stories availble here! The first is by Starchild, and is entitled "Alien : The Heart of Darkness." It takes place during World War II, in the midst of The Holocaust. The 2nd is a short story, 'The Tunnel' which is a quick 'n fun read. Thanks to Sean for sending that one in! :)

And it looks like the official ALIEN site has shut down. FOX are IDIOTS! Grrr... However, as Jo from Cardiff noticed, the very cool French Official Site is still fully operational. Also, the cool Denmark Official Site is working as well. FOX, what were you thinking??????

The On-line ALIENS Collection has updated a whole lot! Included are links to ALIEN Props for Sale, Aliens items including t-shirts, ALIENS model gallerys, and even some replica ALIENS Armour! Also, new pics, new toys, new toy links, general model news, and a whole whack more. For the full scoop, just go to the On-line ALIENS Collection!

I just receivd an email from Paul H, regarding some upcoming ALIEN models....
"Being a Model builder and BIG fan of the first ALIEN film, I figured I'd pass along that AMT/ERTL is going to reissue the old MPC ALIEN model from 20 years ago. I built one of these as a kid and can't wait to get one because buying an original would be rediculous! Anyhow, I think it's due out next summer."
Cool! For those that have not seen them, these models are very cool, nice 'n sleek. Excellent news! And Paul even passed along a URL regarding pictures of his Nostromo, Space Jockey and Aliens figures! Click here to see them! (They are extremely realistic!)

I'm gonna post some ALIEN 3 storyboards later today. Thanks!

November 10th
Mmmm.. I haven't told ya of any good news in a few days! Sorry for the delay. :) I'll add some'more ALIEN 3 cut scenes pics, a few more references, and even a new fan-fiction story, and hey, just for ya'll that read this page, I'll do that today. So tune in later. :)

November 6th
Okay folks, I'm gonna have to have a delay on email responses for the next day or so... :) BUT, there is some BIG news! : (Thanks to Starchild, DVDresource page, and my internet broswer! :)
FOX has registered Internet Domain names regarding UPCOMING DVD titles. They include:
www.alien20thdvd.com
www.aliensdvd.com
www.alien3dvd.com
www.alienresurrectiondvd.com (thats a big URL!)
. Cool, no? This is basically official news that the series will be out on DVD; so the news a wee bit back about the SPECIAL EDITION of ALIENS being released on DVD just might have an inkling of truth to it. :) Cool!!

In sorta related to ALIEN news because the person once-stared-in-a-movie-with-an ALIEN... :) Boldguy found out that "Blain" in PREDATOR (remember, in Predator 2, there was an "ALIEN" skull (exoskeletan?) in the Predators' ship...and Bill Paxton was in the movie. :) Anyway, 'Blain', or Jesse 'the body' Ventura (anyone remember him from the WWF?) is now the Governor of Minnesota. Cool, no? :)

November 4th
Starchild reports! The wonderous one tells the world : The latest word from my sources is that Sigourney Weaver has finished filming "A Map of the World", at a budget of $6 million dollars. I can now see why she is asking for so much to star in Alien 5. Her next film project will be Company Man. But it looks as if there have been script rewrites. Here is what I got on the Sigourney Weaver Newsgroup:

Sigourney Weaver, John Turturro and Douglas McGrath will star in Company Man, a comedy set in the 1960s. Weaver will star as a school teacher turned international spy who becomes involved in a plot to overthrow Fidel Castro. McGrath (who co-wrote Bullets Over Broadway with Woody Allen) will co-direct the film with Peter Askin.
In an interview she gave earlier this year, Sigourney stated that Woody Allen would participate in the film. I have a feeling that, because of his current financial problems, they had to go to a different production company, and rewrite the script. Weaver had originally stated that she would play the wife of McGrath's character, and that she pushes her husband to get a job in the CIA. McGrath then gets sent to Cuba where he meets with his boss, Woody Allen, and the two of them try to overthrow the Cuban government. Now, it looks as if that script was rejected, in favor of having Weaver get sent down to Cuba instead. None of this is confirmed, but the person who posted it is quite reliable. I don't think this film will turn into an Austin Powers-type movie, but we'll have to wait and see.

The DVDresource (good title :) had some interesting new information on Fox's DVD release plans (Along with other major DVD sites). If this information is correct, by next summer we could be watching Aliens: The Director's Cut and Alien: The 20th Anniversery Edition on DVD! Here is what they had to say:

From a deeply-placed source comes this tidbit regarding a tentative release schedule for Fox movies on DVD, up through June of 1999. Until these are formally announced, it is best to treat this as a rumor. (This list does not include the titles which are streeting next week...more on those later.)
January 1999: How Stella Got Her Groove Back; Slums of Beverly Hills February 1999: The X-Files: Fight The Future (Special Edition. on 2/9/99); Shooting Fish
June 1999: Soul Food; Catalog Wave #4: all four Alien movies (including 20th anniversary edition of Alien and extended version of Aliens).
The catalog waves are priced at $29.98 each. All other titles are priced at $34.98. I just hope we get the message across to Fox in time that the $34.98 price is not going to fly. Note that many of the movies are day and date with their VHS counterparts. Also, no features (like 5.1 sound, 16x9 enhancement, extras) are known at this time.

Now then, none of this information has been confirmed, all of it is just rumors. Fox is still supporting DIVX and plans to. But DIVX might be running into some problems. It seems that consumers are totally confused about the difference between DVD and DIVX. Right now, sales of the machines are lukewarm at best. Circuit City is now starting to grow desperate and is airing ads that, when you buy a DIVX machine, you get 5 DIVX movies for free. The only thing they forgot to tell the consumer is that you only get the movies free for 48-hours. After that, you get to pay $3.25 for each subsequent viewing.

For all those of you who get PBS (is there anyone who doesn't?? ;) Last night they aired 'NOVA', like they always do, but this one takes a behind the scenes look the special effects that helped bring Titanic to life. The show also takes a behind the scenes look at the ILM-created special effects for the film Flubber, and a look at the effects and creature design that were created for X-Files: The Movie. Expect to see Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff Jr. to be interviewed during the segment. These folks are responsible (held to blame?) for ALIEN 3 and the ALIEN 4 Aliens. I caught the re-run at 4:00am local (no, I taped it!) so I'll report if anything relevant was mentioned 'bout the ALIEN films....

Starchild pipes in with another cool ditty: Last week, Eonline opened a new website, created for people who enjoy collecting props, costumes, and posters from their favorite films. The site address is http://shop.eonline.com : They held a special preview for it last week, which by the way was VERY buggy, full of alot of broken links. Anyway, they had alot of broken links for props from Alien and Aliens. When this site is finally up and running, it might be interesting to see what they have to sell.

Thanks to all who voted at worldcharts? But its not enough, dammit! But hey, I'll mention that later today....in another update! I hope to have more ALIEN 3 cutscenes photo's online by then. Same Alien-time, same Alien-channel....

November 3rd
Is the ALIEN RESURRECTION Official Site off line? I have not been able to connect to it for several days. I was going to finish swiping ALL of the images from the 'database' section...but I didn't manage to get the ALIEN people!! Can anyone help me out?? Also, the trailers are gonzo! Just when I was about to download them... ;) If FOX actually scrapped the official ALIEN 4 site, that speaks volumes about their commitment to the series...this was a GREAT site for general trilogy info! Perhaps they are just updating it? (last update was about 10 months ago)....I can only hope so.

I'll add a stack of Sigourney Weaver news later today!

November 2nd
I added a few more ALIEN 3 'cut scenes' pics on the Cut Scenes section, in the Pre-release differences and summary area. Nothing big, and the pics are sorta small, but hey, they are there. I'll try to hit a scanner to get some'more posted 2morrow.

November 1st
I hope you are all on major Sugar rushes. :)
There are some brand-spanking new ALIEN References, From Michael (Jay Leno, Home Improvement) and there are 2 more but I cannot remember who or what they are. (Must be the sugar.)

Also, if you want to see a sleek, shiny, lethal, clean, exotic, bare, beautiful and mesmerizing GUN, then head on over to the ALIEN Saga, and go to the 'Whats New' section (after surfing around the site of course) and link to the 'SIN' picture....loverly MK41a Pulse rifle in all its glory. :)

I hope you all dress up like ALIENS for today. :) Also, Dave Letterman had a nice and halloween oriented top 10 list, including an ALIEN Reference, thanks to Sean for emailing me nice 'n quickly, so I could catch it on tape. :)

New ALIEN References! From Entertainment Weekly (thanks Leah), and another one from the Simpsons Halloween Special (Thanks to An Alien Fan).

And Boldguy contributes the '(useless) ALIEN trivia of the day!' Thanks Boldguy!:
In "equal" to A Fish Called Wanda; "Fierce Creatures," (starring John Cleese, Kevin Kline, and Jamie Lee Curtis) if you look carefully you will see both Ricco Ross (Frost from Aliens) as a security guard, and Leon Herbert (Boggs from Alien3) as a TV journalist.

News from the On-line ALIENS collection includes :
News about the Complete Aliens Companion book by Paul Sammon! In an email sent to the publishers, HaperCollins;

"The author, Paul Sammon, is delivering the final manuscript in sections. It should be complete by the end of this year. It hasn't be re-scheduled yet but my best guess would be sometime in the Fall of 1999."
Also in the udate is the second promo card from the upcoming Inkworks 'ALIENS' series, more info than you could shake a stick at about ALIENS Dropship patches, and the ALL-METAL M41A Pulse Rifle replica. This, and so much more, is just a click away at the On-Line ALIENS Collection. Now lets all give a hand for Willie! Woo! :)

Tom nicely contributed a great summary of the original draft script for ALIEN, which is at the 'ALIEN' area in the ALIEN Movies Resource Page Scripts section!

An interview with Lance Henriksen is now availible at the ALIEN : People section! This is from 1987, after the release of ALIENS, and reveals some nice tips on the possibility of ALIEN 3...(at the time...;) I also corrected some big boo-boos in the Bill Paxton Interview.

And it is VITAL that ya'll vote for the ALIEN Movies Resource Page at Wordcharts! The page has slipped a few notches. :-O Lets correct that, k?
Please Click Here to vote for the ALIEN Movies Resource Page,
Click Here to vote for the ALIEN Collectors Homeworld,

But in ALIEN news, for those who missed the Simpsons Halloween special on Sunday, (It had an ALIEN reference, see below) on Regis and Kathy Lee today (don't ask, oh please don't ask) they mentioned something about the episode being RE-AIRED on the 29th. (Thursday). I figure this will be on FOX. So, make sure you watch it!! :)

October 26th
I'll add a major content update on the 'ol webpage once my exams are over. For now, wet your appetite with more Alien References, from the Simpsons (thanks to Kevin), and 'Cracked' (thanks to Hicks.) There are 2 interviews to be uploaded, a few more CLEAR & CRISP Alien 3 cut scenes pics, a cut scene that was storyboarded pics, Sigourney Weaver pics, ALIENS people pics, various Alien related pics....and even a summary of the original ALIEN script draft. :) (Thanks Tom!) So stay tuned. :)

October 26th
I'll be updating a little later today. :) I have 3 midterms (and a wee research paper due) all in the next 4 days, but I'll still update as much as i can. But there just may be a delay in responding to emails.... :) Thanks for your patience!!

October 23rd
A new ALIEN Reference, thanks to Hicks and The Relic.

Starchild has a bunch of news! (woo!)
* I just picked this up from Eonline http://www.eonline.com They had a news item about the most powerful directors of all time. Well, just read the article I scanned:

Spielberg, Cameron Top List of Top Directors
Names like Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, George Lucas, Martin Scorsese and Stanley Kubrick can pretty much sell a film on their own. That's why they respectively top the Hollywood Reporter's "Director Power '98" rankings--a list of the most bankable helmers in show biz.
Billed as "the most comprehensive survey of its kind," 500 film directors from all over the world were ranked on their ability to attract big-name actors, get financing, ensure global distribution and score at the box office.
On a scale of zero to 100, Spielberg--who has five of the top 20 highest grossing films of all time--led all players with an astounding 99.38 score. Cameron, bolstered hugely by the $1.8 billion performance of Titanic, came in at 97.84 for second place.
That barely edged Lucas--who has only three films to his credit (American Graffiti, Star Wars and the just-finished Star Wars prequel The Phantom Menace due in May 1999). He tallied 97.53.
While Scorsese hasn't had the box-office success the top three have enjoyed, he rates his 90.94 generally for the respect his name carries among top actors and serious filmgoers.
Kubrick (87.96) hasn't released anything for a while either, but just like Lucas, he also has an eagerly anticipated movie coming out (Eyes Wide Shut) next year --and he was able to keep the Reporter's top-ranked star, Tom Cruise ("Star Power '98"), on the set for 15 months.
As for the rest of the rankings, a number of hyphenates--most actors-turned-directors --finished high. Clint Eastwood, for example, was right there behind Kubrick with a n 85.49 score; Mel Gibson (80.86), Robert Redford (80.63), Tom Hanks (68.83). Barbara Streisand (65.71), the highest charing woman on the list at No. 47, and Jodie Foster (63.13) weren't that far behind.
The rest of the top 10: Robert Zemeckis (84.57), Francis Ford Coppola (83.75), Ron Howard (83.33) and Quentin Tarantino (83.23). And some who finished at the bottom of the top 150: Sylvester Stallone (46.25), Sean Penn (44.69) and John Singleton (41.56).

* This Friday night, at 8 p.m. EST, TNT will air a special event honoring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Entertainment Tonight showed a few clips of the show Monday night, which also included an interview with James Cameron. He was also seen with the latest woman in his life, Suzi Amis.(Note: How many women does this make for him, 4? First it was Gale Anne Hurd (ALIENS Producer), then Kathryn Bigelow (Strange Days Director), next Linda Hamilton (Terminator 2 Star), and now Suzi Amis (Bit part in Titanic). He seems to "get along" with his co-workers. Well, the female kind anyway. :)
Anyhow, James Cameron will be a presenter at the show honoring his friend. Below is what TNT had posted on their site about the special:
Mark your calendars now for this exclusive TNT event that premieres on Friday, October 23 at 8 pm (ET/PT). There will also be an encore showing on Sunday, October 25 at 10:30 pm ET/PT.
The American Cinematheque's annual Moving Picture Ball is an exclusive industry gala event that pays tribute in a fun and unexpected way to an actor, producer, director or writer who has writer who has made a significant contribution to the motion picture industry. This year, the biggest stars in Hollywood gather to honor and "roast" one of their own Arnold Schwarzenegger actor, director and notorious prankster. The driving force behind the success of some of the biggest blockbusters in history, Schwarzenegger joins past award-winners John Travolta, Steven Spielberg, Tom Cruise and Mel Gibson in an annual event that benefits the American Cinematheque, a non-profit organization dedicated to the celebration of the "moving picture" in all its forms. HOLLYWOOD SALUTES ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER will feature clips from Schwarzengger's most popular films and the top names in Hollywood Tim Allen, Robin Williams, Sharon Stone, Jamie Lee Curtis, Gina Gershon, Tom Arnold, Jon Bon Jovi, James Cameron and Ivan Reitman, who will serve as presenters and performers. Garry Shandling hosts this extraordinary tribute. The event is the American Cinematheque's largest annual benefit, providing funds for the programs and operation of the non-profit film exhibition organization throughout the year. In 1998, the event will raise funds to help renovate the historic Egyptian Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard.

* Winona Ryder has been busy, she is back in films again. She is currently filming "Lost Souls", which is being directed by Janusz Kaminski (he was Director of Photography on Steven Spielberg's Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan). Anyhow, Entertainment Online has an exclusive interview with Ryder on their website.... but you can read it by clicking Here!

* The Entertainment Weekly magazine that was devoted to Sci-Fi also had an article about Winona Ryder. It turns out she is staring in a music video. Here is the article:

Critics' darlings the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion may never go multi-platinum, but they won't have to sing the blues about lack of cred with Hollywood's hipoisie. Actors Winona Ryder, Giovanni Ribisi(Saving Private Ryan), and John Reilly(Boogie Nights) all appear in the JSBE's upcoming video for "Talk About the Blues," each playing a member of the band(Ryder plays Spencer), while Spencer and company portray actors in a movie. "It's sort of a spoof of videos hyping movie soundtracks," says the video's director, Evan Bernard, who reports that the actors worked gratis, "I heard a rumor that Jon Spencer was going to play Winona in the made-for-TV movie The Winona Ryder Story," says a tounge and cheek Bernard. Don't laugh too hard; Spencer seems to be seriously considering new career options. Says Spencer: "The thing people will be most surprised by is seeing the Blues Explosion act. People who've seen the footage keep asking 'When's the movie coming out?' and Matador/Capitol[Spencer's label] are talking about bankrolling a real movie-the stuff is that good." If Spencer can deconstruct a role the way he can a rock song, the acting profession may never be the same.
* I checked with Software Ect. last week about the release of AR: The Game. More bad news: it wasn't going to come out this month. All they could tell me is that the strategy guide would be out on December 28, 1998. Once again, Fox is making us wait, except this time we have to wait until next year.

* Remember Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun (That stars Michael Biehn)? Well, the latest rumor on the net is that the game will be released on March 30, 1999. In fact, Electronics Boutique and Software Ect. are all reporting the same release date. A recent interview with Erik Yeo, one of the main design team members, revealed that they don't want to release a game full of bugs, and they will wait until they get it working right. I guess we might have to wait a little longer until we see Hicks battle the NOD for global supremacy......

* TV Guide recently released their "20 Scariest Films of all time" list. Alien came in at #3, getting beat out Psycho and The Exorcist.

* Ebay's auction house has a 13X19 mini poster of Alien Resurrection. It is rolled and listed in mint condition. Here is the link to the poster: A4 Poster

As Boldguy reported, There are a lotta ALIEN connections with the upcoming sequel for 'From Dusk Till Dawn,' called "Texas Blood Money." The main star will be Bruce Campbell (Ash from Evil Dead) and co-starring will be Raymond Cruz (Distephano from Alien Resurrection) and Robert Patrick (T-1000 from Terminator 2). T2 was directed by James Cameron, and hey, Distephano was in ALIEN 4! (woo!)

Again, thanks to Boldguy, there are finally face shots for ALL (but 1) character in ALIEN 3. Give it a Look!

I also deleted a megabyte of 'stuff' that was/used to be connected to this webpage...like old pictures and stuff. If there is a 'broken' image sign on the page, just email me and I'll fix it. This was in the local paper...it includes an ALIEN film and an ALIEN killer... ;)

Exorcist voted scariest flick ever

The Exorcist was the most frightening movie ever,
according to a panel assembled to create a pre-
Halloween list of the 20 scariest movies of all
time.
The panel was asked to name a scary hall of fame
for the Oct. 17 issue of TV Gude. The group of
judges included horror-film directors Wess Craven
and Roger Corman; novelist Anne Rice; Joss Whedon,
producer of the Buffy the Vampre Slayer; cult-film
director John Waters; and -- oddly enough -- Matt
Groening, creator of the Simpsons.
The final list includes two Alfred Hitchcock gems
-- Psycho and The Birds -- the sci-fi- ooze-fest
Alien, and psychological thrillers The Silence of
the Lambs and The Shining.
Monster movies Bride of Frankenstein, Frankenstein,
King Kong and Dracula all made the Top 20 list, as
well as the slashers Scream, Halloween and A
Nightmare on Elm Street.

October 13th

Cinescape has this to say about ALIEN director Ridley Scott's next film, 'Gladiator':
"Even more so, he revealed that they will not only create a lot of digital extras and buildings, but that one of the highlights of the film will be a sequence in which a gladiator fights a CGI Rhinoceros (...and will allegedly be pierced by its horn... now that's what I call typical Ridley Scott violence par excellence.)

ALIEN References have been added, from Taz-Mania (ACK! I've lost the name of the person who sent this to me! Email me back, 'cause I want to stick your name up...I can't beleive I forgot! ;), and Rockos' Modern life (Thanks Hicks!)

Once again, the ALIEN fan known as Willie has alerted the ALIEN world with a great scoop....
Have you ever wondered what happened to Newt? Do you know what she looks like? Well, in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, there is a wee article on Carrie Henn ("Newt"). The issue is a special one dedicated to the 100 greatest pieces of Science-Fiction, and ALIEN/ALIENS came it at number 9. (That's it?!?! :) On page 45 under the article "Lost in Space" there's a brief update on Carrie and where she is now (attending college in California) along with a photo of her then and now.
Now everyone bow down to Willie and offer him thanks. (And sacrifices.) :) More updates later....

October 8th
David Fincher, the man who has directed ALIEN 3, THE GAME, and SEVEN, just might be a Starwars Episode 2 (Prequel 2) director hopeful. As mentioned on The Force.net's prequel area, Fincher just might have taken a tour with 'ol Lucas (TMRFIA - does anyone else know what I mean? ;). Also, a looong time ago the rumour de jour was that Lucas and Fincher were 'doing lunch. So folks, Fincher just might have landed himself a really awesome job. I love his style! ;) His next movie is 'The Fight Club.'

I just got some news in about an old episode of "The Movie Show", a Canadian based ..well..movie show. (It is still on.) Apparently, at the time of Alien 3, they showed a clip of 'the making' of the movie, including the OX dragging up the EEV from the water. I'll look into obtaining a tape of this episode. (It is made locally. :) Thanks to Crescent!

I almost forgot about the ALIEN Collectors Homeworld on Worldcharts! Chris's site is ranked at #81 (this sit is at #80 ;) So you now have a duty for all ALIEN fans, to vote for the ALIEN Movies Resource Page AND vote for the Alien Collectors Homeworld Thanks! :)

I added a quick .avi cut from an ALIEN 3 trailer that has about 15 seconds that were cut from the film, and that are not on the pre-release. The quality isn't that good, (I just used some shareware products) but hey, they are there. You can find them in the ALIEN 3 section of the Cut Scenes area.

Thanks for voting at Worldcharts! I'm back up to #80. Whew! But the battle against good and evil is not over. Please CLICK HERE to vote for this page! Come'on now, its important! :)

And now it is time for Starchild's reports: :)
[Note : Wherever it says 'pictures from ???' I'll put those pictures up soon...I just need to find the time. :)
Micheal Beihn pics, from C&C2: Tiberian Sun, are availible off of the Dune 2000 PC-CDROM game. It turns out that Dune 2000 contains a behind the scenes look at the filming of the cinematics. http://www.tiberiumsun.com wrote an entire transcript of the video. Here is what Michael Biehn had to say about C&C2:

Two of hollywood's finest actors have found themselves in the heat of a fierce battle for world domination, a battle where the only shots that are being fired are camera shots. World renowned actor and voice of Star Wars' Darth Vader, James Earl Jones, and actor Micheal Biehn star of such films as Terminator Aliens and The Rock have just completed shooting the latest installment in the hit cd-rom interactive video game series, Command and Conquer. The multi-million dollar Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun from videogame maker Westwood Studios is the third in the series that has already sold 10 million games worldwide. This is the first CD-Rom adventure for both Micheal Biehn and James Earl Jones.
Earl Jones: The thril for me is that I can reletae to at least 3 generations, if its not Queen Leia, its Darth Vader, or the Lion King, and I dont like to limit how I make the movie, I like to try alot of things.
Biehn: As far as the acting goes no I mean the camera's the same, the sounds the same, you know the lighting, the waiting, you know the call times, the caterer, the lunch. Filmed on location in Las Vegas, and in Westwood Studios own back lot, filming took 3 weeks, multiple sets and a crew of more then 50. Set in the early 21st century Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun will once again pit the evil Brotherhood of Nod againt the good guys, The Global Defence Initiative, or GDI.
Biehn: Were just telling the story inside of the game. It seems to me what were doing, is were leading the gameplayer up to the point and say ok you take over and they take over the gameplaying. They cut back to me and go woah man that attack of that base was really tough, now I think we should you know, go rescue Umagon.
Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun is due for release this fall, and then the future of our planet will lie in the skilled hands of the gameplayers.Bbut with big weapons and large calibre stars i think we'll be ok.

Cinescape has a good amount of info on the future projects of James Cameron, after talking to the president of Lightstorm (Jimbo's company.) Click here to check it out. :)

Also on a James Cameron sweep is the Internet Movie Database, which has some interesting information on Terminator 3. Check it out:
SCHWARZENEGGER TERMINATED?

Arnold Schwarzenegger has been dropped from the planned Terminator 3 movie, the British Press Association news wire reported Tuesday, citingno sources. In a report that was later picked up by the BBC, the news agency said that 20th Century Fox had balked at Schwarzenegger's demands for a $20 million upfront fee plus a percentage of the gross. It was not clear from the report whether the studio has decided to shelve the entire Terminator project, which was to have teamed Schwarzenegger with director James Cameron again, or whether it is considering going ahead with the project with a different star in the lead.

Now, this is all rumours, considering what Cinescape had to say (see the above news. )

And Starchild also bought the DIVX version of Alien Resurrection. Here is the news on that: [But remember folks, DIVX sucks. :) ]
I went out and bought the DIVX edition of Alien Resurrection at my local Circuit City. I haven't watched it, since I don't plan to buy a Divx player. The case did include the entire Chapter Index for the film. Odds are, if and when the DVD version is released, it will have the same index. There are 28 chapter stops in all. Here it is:
1. Opening Logos
2. Main Title
3. USM Auriga
4. Born Again
5. Memories
6. The Cargo Arrives
7. The Deal
8. A Little One-On-One
9. Today's Lesson
10. Snooping Around
11. Caught
12. The Escape
13. "Evacuation"
14. "Evacuation Incomplete"
15. Finding A Way Out
16. A Waste Of Ammo
17. "He's Got One Inside Him."
18. A Trap
19. Call's Secret
20. Connecting At The Chapel
21. Into The Nest
22. Sharing The Monster (Note: I'm still wondering what that scene was supposed to be about!)
23. A New Baby
24. Racing To The Betty
25. Closing The Hatch
26. Under Pressure
27. "I'm A Stranger Here Myself."
28. End Credits

A delay on the ALIEN Resurrection game??
The October issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly contains a new ad for Alien Resurrection: The Game. It looks similar to the ad I sent you last month, except that the Alien Resurrection and Fox Interactive Logos are in color. Also, the words "Due This Fall" have been replaced with "Due Soon". I guess Fox has decided to delay the release of the game once again.....=(

And not only Starchild's paper, but my local paper had a story similar to this as well. It regards report on the film "A Map of the World", which stars Sigourney Weaver. Read on:

    NIX ON FLIX
Novelist Jane Hamilton wanted no part of turning "A Map of the World" into a movie. "I don't think I would have written a good screenplay, colaborated well with others, and I don't think I would have gotten my way", she said. Filming begain Sept, 21 on a farm outside Toronto. Actress Sigourney Weaver stayed at Hamilton's Rochester, Wisconsin farmhouse for a few days to research the part, and even stayed in a cell at the Racine County Jail. Weaver plays a farmer's wife and part-time nurse who is babysitting when a toddler drowns. During the turmoil, a boy falsely acusses her of sexual abuse. "She's a real actress and really devotes herself to the role.", Hamilton said in Wednesday's Journal Times.

And there is a brand - Spanking - New ALIEN reference, courtesy of that crazy Alien Fan, GGStu. It is from 'Duckman.'

And I'll respond to all the emails I've been stacking up today I hope.

September 28th
the On-Line ALIENS Collection master Willie found some great news! :
Over at the Previews website they have this item listed under the Previews UK button (quoted directly from the text):

The Complete Alien Movie Series Box Set Videos
For the first time ever all four movies in the Alien series available on video! From the suspense filled horror of Alien, to the all action adventure of Aliens (here as the special edition with an extra 20 minutes), followed by the prison-planet drama of Alien3 and finally the climactic Earthfall of Alien: Resurrection. This collection showcases not only some of the best genre films of the late twentieth century, but also it's best directors in Ridley Scott (Blade Runner), James Cameron (Titanic), David Fincher (Seven), and Jean-Pierre Jeunet (Delicatessen). Truly a treat for fan and cinephile alike! (CAUT: 1)

    WIDESCREEN EDITION - VHS..........Ł39.99
    PAN & SCAN EDITION - VHS..........Ł34.99

See those pound signs - that's not a misprint [Note: That is about 80 bucks Canadian... YIKES!] - as far as I can tell, this set is only slated for release in the UK. Now, is FOX going to pull a UK limited 'Facehugger' box set, or this is release in conjunction with a planned NTSC format version? Ohhh...I want it. :) Much, much, much thanks to Willie.

Worldcharts is still kicking around. Although I got a good number of votes (thanks all!) the 'ALIEN Movies Resource Page' managed to slip to 99th spot. That's right, 99 out of 100. The last of the Last. AHHHH! So please, for anyone that has not voted yet, just lay down a helping hand and please give this page a vote! Thanks!

the ALIENS collection has also updated once more. Included in the new news are :
Alien model armour! You have to see it to believe it. :) Willie also reports that Brian Pesti's page has updated with prototype toy pics, books for sale (the CINEFEX ALIEN series Collection!), ALIEN stamps for sale, and Dave Dorman's sale on ALIENS vs. Predator goodies. And, as always, go to the the On-Line ALIENS Collection for all the info, and much more. :)

September 27th
Over at Weyland Yutani Special Weapons Division : ALIENS there is a brand new edition.... pics from the ALIEN 3 : The Gun arcade game! So Check it out. :) Also, The 'ol webmaster also tells me of this info: The upcoming movie 'What Dreams May Come' is directed by Vincent Ward, who has story credits for Alien 3. 'What Dreams May Come' stars Robin Williams and Cuba Gooding Jr. [Thanks MP!]

Over at Cinescape they are announcing some info about James Cameron's new project: 'Solaris'...I won't go into details, just check out the site. :)

And remember to watch the tv...'cause Tom Skerrit (Dallas in ALIEN) is still staring in advertisments for some painkiller...Aleve I think. :) I would be hurting too after an ALIEN attack. :)

And a brand spankin' new ALIEN Reference, thanks to '3rd Rock from the Sun' and 'An Alien Fan.' :)

September 26th
Has anyone ever seen 'Down Periscope'? with Kelsey Grammer? Well, Harry Dean Stanton (Brett in ALIEN, also in the upcoming "The Green Mile") Played 'Howard', a mechanic on the Submarine. He had more than a wee resemblance to his Brett Character. :)

Winona Ryder (Call in ALIEN 4) is in the upcoming film 'Celebrity', done by Woody Allen. For a pic of the flick with Winona, check out Dark Horizons. :)

And Starchild used his Sonar to pick up this neeeto scoop:
If you live in Port Perry, Ontario, Canada, you might run into Sigourney Weaver. She is currently in Canada filming "A Map of the World". The film is supposed to be set in Colonial America and is about how she is accused of sexually molesting, and killing, a boy she was supposed to take care of. I wouldn't expect to see this film end with a happy ending......=( By the way, does this film remind anyone of "The Crucible"? [Thanks SC!]

A bunch of pics will be all put up at once later on. ;) These will include Michael Biehn in 'Command and Conquer 2', Sigourney at an Awards Show, and a few others.

Worldcharts! It's time to vote. The people at worldcharts had stated I had no votes last week! (BLAST!) So if everyone can lend me a hand and VOTE, that would be, like, dreamy. :) thanks! (I mean it!) Just click here to vote. :)

I accidently deleted an update that was supposed to appear on the 24th...I'll try to redo that today. Oh, and at the Official Starwars site...well...they announced the Episode 1 title. :) check it out! :)

September 23rd
Some new ALIEN References, from one of my University classes (!!), A Florida theatre, and even the Spice Girls. (Thanks Stomper!)

Rumour de jour from Starchild is that Fox is planning to release the Alien Saga on DVD in early 1999. I did some checking into this and found out a few things. On September 25, 1998, Divx players will go on sale at Circuit City stores nation wide. It's going to be followed by a nationwide advertising campaign to get people to buy this crap. Oh, and Divx has a motto: Divx: The best way to watch movies at home. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! [ALIEN Resurrection already has a DIVX disc...scroll down in the news for a picture. Remember, DIVX SUCKS.]

The DVD Resource Page also reports that Fox is going to release Predator in North America on November 11. No word yet if Predator 2 will be released later. Now, if Predator, which is a new widescreen release, is coming on DVD, then this speaks well for the ALIEN series. Predator 2 had Bill Paxton in it, remember. :)

Another site, The Digital Bits, reports that Fox is planning to relase the entire Aliens Saga early in 1999. If this is true, then perhaps we will finally see the VHS editions of Aliens SE and Alien Resurrection be released around that time also. But alot of this is just rumors. With Divx being released soon, and Fox is still behind it, you may not see a DVD edition of the Alien Saga for a while.

DIVX SUCKS.

Top-Ten Reasons That Divx Players Are Being Demonstrated With Open DVD
That's right. People who have seen and touched real-live Divx players have been surprised to find that real DVD's are being used for demonstrations, not Divx discs. Why, you might ask, is Circuit City not demonstrating Divx to its fullest? Well, hopefully this will shed some light: this will shed some light:
    10. It is too complicated to install an analog phone line in the middle of a store with a digital PBX
    9. A credit card is required but Circuit City's line of credit is on hold
    8. They can't afford it: the cost of playing a Disney movie seven days a week for a year will be $600*
    7. They are waiting for Divx discs with DTS
    6. They fear that Divx picture quality might be confused with Video CD
    5. Twister is better than half the movies available on Divx
    4. They just can't keep those Divx movies in stock. Because there aren't any.**
    3. They want to be prepared for people who ask for a comparison to DVD.
    2. They want to show just how good a DVD player Zenith makes.
    1. They are trying to keep DVD's of the hands of people who have been asking for price matching with Wards.
*Certain Disney titles can not be coverted to unlimited play!
**Well, when compared to the 1600+ Open DVD titles
(Thanks for the great stuff Starchild! And making me laugh!! :)

September 18th
Willie finds some ALIEN info : "On page 79 of the latest issue of Movieline (oct. 98) there is a small artcle on Sigourney in Alien 3 (calls the movie "ugliness")"

And ya like Brad Dourif? Well, as Gord knows where to find him: "This fall, Brad Dourif, Gediman in A4, will be reprising his role as the killer doll Chucky, in The Bride of Chucky." Cool!

September 18th
Ahh! Paul Riser (Burke in ALIENS) was on Jay Leno last night. I missed it. But, for all you Europeans, it might be repeated today. (maybe.) So stay tuned! More news later. :) I will also add more picture of the ALIEN 3 folks that I've missed on the ALIEN 3 People page.

ALIENS SE DELAYED???
Say it ain't so! The ever-so-accurate and ever-so-trusting Starchild breaks the bad news; In response from a email from a major video supplier chain (the BIG boys)...well...read for yourself:

.....[snip]...You had sent an e-mail to [name deleted] in reference to the re-pricing of Aliens: Director's Cut and Alien Resurrection. I contacted customer service at Fox and these titles are not scheduled for re-pricing this year. They may become available next year but they did not have any information for me to pass on to you at this time.
AHHHHH! This basically means that ALIENS SE will not see the light of day until winter...more like early 1999. But don't fret, It WILL be released....when teh first wave of widescreen videos were released by FOX, (the Abyss, True Lies) they announced them MONTHS in advance. Fingers crossed. :)

Sigourney Weaver was also at the Emmy Awards on Sunday. She (as you all know :) was nominated for Best Actress in a miniseries or movie... but she lost to Ellen Barkin. (Doh!) And as Starchild reports: ...the highlight of the show was when she introduced her father, Pat Weaver on to the stage. Her father, believe it or not, was the creator of NBC's Today show. Anyhow, he was saluted by the audience for his work on television. Sigourney, meanwhile, was literaly going to cry her eyeballs out. If you watched her on stage, she was about ready to let loose a gallon of tears. She was really proud of her father. (thanks Starchild)

And I'm back in action at Worldcharts! But I want to stay on for HALF A YEAR! Thats right! The ALIEN Movies Resource Page has been ranked as the top 100 pages in the WORLD for almost 6 months. But I need your help! Please vote for this page! Thanks, thanks, and thankyou. :)

A recent episode of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' had more than a striking ALIEN reference (I'll add it to the List soon) ...Did I mention that Buffy was created by ALIEN 4 writer Joss Whedon? Anyway, It involved Buffy having an EGG (a small one though)... that HATCHED....and a small Alien-esque-facehugger-like creature DOVE out of towards buffy's FACE. It crawled around like the facehugger in ALIENS....and it even sorta looked like it. (but small.) Quite the originality, eh? :)

I am in school, which takes up ALOT of my time...so I may have slight delays in answering emails, but I respond to ALL my mails...just cut me some slack sometimes. :)

September 11th
Well readers...LOTS of various bits of news today. My thanks go to Starchild for the info! :)
Below is a small picture of 'who will give birth' this fall! :) I love this ad...congrats to Sony and FOX for making me laugh. ;) A MUCH larger version exists at the ALIEN 4 picture page...just click on the image to link to it. :)

And Sigourney Weaver is homeless. A fire apparently burned out her New York City apartment. It seems that workers, doing renovations over the Labor Day weekend to her apartment, had an old refridgerator plugged in. An electrical spark from the refridgerator started the fire and seriously damaged it. Workers say that with all the repair work they have to do because of the fire, it will be a year before she and her family can move in again.
A fire caused by an electrical spark burns out her apartment and now she can't go back for a year. A fire caused by an electrical spark on the Sulaco causes Ripley to get ejected from the ship and take refuge on Fiorina-161. A coincidence? Strange.......

In the latest issue of People Magazine, Weaver is on their worst dressed list for 1998. Daria, from MTV's Daria, who is a judge for the magazine this year, was quoted as saying that with the dresses she wears, she could scare the Aliens into surrender in Alien 5. This what People Magazine had to say about her on their website:

Believe it or not, getting dressed is one assignment Ripley can't handle. As the muscle-bound heroine of four Alien movies, Weaver managed to elevate the horror genre to something approaching art. But offscreen the 48-year-old actress pours her statuesque 5'11" form into dresses better suited to a B-movie queen. "She is one of our leading women in action movies," says plus-size model Emme. "Why isn't someone giving her good direction on how to dress powerfully, yet with femininity and style? It's so sad." Concurs designer Amsale: "She has so many beautiful parts of her body she should focus on. But I don't think her clothes reflect her true personality." Costumer Linda Serijan-Fasmer figures Weaver "must really be into clothes" -- just the wrong ones. "Oh, my goodness! She has a no-go style."

I have some more pictures to add to the 'people' page on the picture area, I'll do that within a few days. (Thanks Starchild!)

The Alien Resurrection game was showcased recently by Sony at the European Computer Trade Show. Sony was highlighting it as one of the big titles of this fall, so expect quite a bit of marketing to go into this game. I do believe the game is finally complete, Fox is just waiting for the holiday season to roll around so they can release it.

Winona Ryder's film, "Celebrity", has premiered just recently at Venice, Italy. Entertainment Tonight did a segment on it, focusing mostly on Melanie Griffith and Leonardo DiCrapio. I didn't see Winona there, but if she is still in Italy, she probably went to the premiere.

Ridley Scott (ALIEN director) is back in the movies!
Variety Online reports that Russel Crowe (he starred in Virtuosity and LA Confidential) is getting ready to sign on for Ridley Scott's film, "Gladiator". The site reports that the film is kind of like Ben-Hur, except with even bigger production values and a lot more violent. Variety has a load to say about it:

Crowe would play a Roman general who is the presiding Caesar's most fearsome and respected warrior. When the leader falls ill, he designates the general to succeed him. The Caesar's son, however, has other plans. He strips the general of his stripes and family and banishes him.
The general becomes part of the world of gladiators, where fight-to-the-death battles are framed around the pageantry of a Roman circus atmosphere. The warrior battles his way to a final fight that will lead him to a match ^× and a chance for revenge ^× against the man who banished him.
The film will be a true period piece and carries a budget north of $80 million. The script, originated by David Franzoni (Amistad), is now being worked on by John Logan, who previously worked with Scott on RKO 281, the battle between Orson Welles and William Randolph Hearst over Citizen Kane. That script's now at HBO.
For Crowe, landing the lead in the Scott-directed film is the latest in an upward surge started by a starmaking role in L.A. Confidential. Crowe just finished starring as tobacco industry whistle-blower Jeffrey Wigand opposite Al Pacino in the untitled Michael Mann-directed film for Hollywood Pictures, and he recently starred in the Jay Roach-directed hockey film Mystery Alaska for Hollywood.

At the official site of 'Commmand & Conquer 2: Tiberium Sun', and found that they have redesigned the site. They now have images up of the key players of C&C2. Included in this e-mail is an image of Michael Biehn as McNeil. Here is the caption that went along with the image:

McNEIL : Used to handle only the most dangerous environmental crises and the most violent NOD uprisings, Commander, Michael McNeil is the GDI's most promising asset.
Previous press releases have stated that the player would be able to see their character during the mission briefing videos, and other cinematics. I have a feeling that in the game, the player will be playing as McNeil during the GDI missions. If you are a big fan of Michael Biehn, don't pass up on buying this game! C&C 2's scheduled release date is early November, 1998. Click on the smaller images to transport you to the large pic.

Much thanks to Starchild for running his own newspaper. :)

And Worldcharts is back at 'em! But this time, the ALIEN Movies Resource Page is actually been challenged! The people over here (and I quote) want to "stomp Mr. 93 into dust"...well, Mr. 93 is me! so lets try and blow Mr. 94 into submission. :) So ya'll, please vote for this page! Thanks! :)

Some news from Cinescape (shamelessly copied) :
James Cameron has announced a joint venture with TV producer Charles Eglee (NYPD Blue), according to a number of sources. As yet unnamed, the team is likely to focus on dramatic properties for the TV networks, cable and first run syndication as early as 1999-2000. James Cameron revealed his intentions saying, "I like challenges, and after years of painting on the feature film canvas, I’m excited to turn my creative focus to a medium that emphasizes writing, not visual spectacle. Ultimately, telling stories is what I love to do most."
Go to Cinescape for the full info. :)

The James Cameron 'answers about Aliens' interview should be on the Aliens : People page by the end of the day. Seeya!

September 9th
Here is some news that is straight from Cinescape;
Rumors continue to fly that Sigourney Weaver has signed an $18M deal to star in as well as write the next Alien sequel. A quick call to PMK, Weaver’s publicist, resulted in a quick answer to the Alien question. A media rep says simply, "There are no plans for an Alien 5."

September 8th

September 4th
The On-Line ALIENS Collection has updated once again, with news on the 12inch ALIEN figure, some news on the ALIENS Vs. Predator game, screengrabs from the game, models, figures.... and more!

At the ALIEN SAGA movie page, there is a great 'games' section, with information, pictures, and the new ALIENS : Wargame! ;) Take a look!

On Thursday, the 'Movie Show', which is shown across Canada I think, will have a half hour feature on James Cameron. Yeah, it will be Titanic based, but should 'showcase' the rest of his career...including ALIENS!

At Cinescape, they report that Bill Paxton (Hudson in ALIENS) is rumoured to appear in a planned "The Incredible Hulk" feature. More news is on thier site....

This may be my last week at Worldcharts, but it does not have to be! If enough people vote for the 'ALIEN Movies Resource Page', It'll stay on the rankings! So please click here to vote! Thanks! :)

I'll post som'more stuff 2morrow! (And maybe, if I decide to type fast enough, an old interview with James Cameron at the time of ALIENS' theatrical release. Fingers crossed...) :)

September 2nd
I finally saw "The Mazk of Zorro" movie...which is really good! I give it 2 thumbs up. :) And, it was composed by James Horner....and any person with the ALIENS soundtrack score will notice a few similarities. Also, there are some obvious 'Willow' 4-note rips and even some John Williams 'inspirations.' :)

I don't know if I have posted this address before, but here is a great page that features art by Dave Dorman. Dave Dorman has done some of the best ALIEN art around, from ALIENS : TRIBES, covers of books, comic covers, lithographs, posters....the list goes on and on. He is an amazing artist that can really capture the ALIEN! The page is called 'Dorman Art' and get to it by Clicking Here.

The Trailer for 'Knock-Off' has the same music that was used for the 'showest' ALIEN 4 teaser (at the very end)...Perhaps an edited version of the 'Code Red' (or was it Red Alert) from the other ALIEN 4 trailers...or even the same thing? Someone with good ears can figure it out... ;) Please Mail Me if you have any info! :)

Well, it has been a fun ride. But, the ALIEN Movies Resource Page is now at *98th* spot at Worldcharts! This is like, the LAST chance to save the site. ;) If you would like to vote, please CLICK HERE. Com'on, I've been on since it was created! It is your duty as registered power loaders! :)

I did a few html fixes on the website...inlcuding September 1st news. :)

September 1st
A 'Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers' ALIEN Reference has now been added, thanks to An Alien Fan.

Another trivia tidbit: As Gord reports: The 1st release of ALIEN on Video (in the US) was in 1984. Now you know. I know that you wanted to know that. So, how many of you have this 1st release? :)

I had a news update on the 30th, but it did not save for some reason...I'll retype it tonight if I can. Also, I found several old magazines with James Cameron interviews, and interviews with the Cast and Crew of ALIENS. Cameron answers some questions regarding ALIENS....I'll see if I can type those in for all to enjoy. :) Stay tuned!

August 29th
To all the people who receive the Space Channel (This may be limited to Canada) they will be airing ALIENS *today*, and it will most likely be the 'TV special edition', which includes some of the cut scenes from the SE. The last several times Space Channel had ALIENS on, it was this version. ;) Another James Cameron movie, 'the TERMINATOR' is also shown right after ALIENS.
More news later today. :)

August 28th
There is a new ALIEN webpage in town! Here is the description from the webmaster:
"I customized some GI Joe figures for a contest, and then fans (lots of 'em) >started contacting me about doing USCM figures and equipment for sale. I'm in the process of developing a kit to satisfy the demand."
Sounds great! So everyone pay a visit to The PAGE and admire the work. :)

Here is som'more info on the 'missing scene' pic from yesterday. That picture came from a magazine from several months ago, regarding the potential for ALIEN 5. This picture is fake. This scene was cut early from the script, and it was never filmed. So for all of those people who say that this picture is real.....well, doubt them!
St. Just took the time out to describe the scene which this picture is meant to describe:
The 'Jungle Scene' was to occur right after The chapel and elevator scene. The mercs go through a type of botanical gardens where the scientists have been growing bio-engineered Alien plants. Rip and the mercs drive through the jungle with a jeep, but are attacked by a bunch of Aliens. Hillard survived up to this point, Ranes, a character cut from the movie, died in her place in the underwater sequence. Anyway, Hillard dies at this point. St. Just gets sliced, and stays behind to hold off the Aliens while the rest of the mercs get away. Alien blood burns through the hole and sends the aliens and St. Just(my hero :) out into space!

August 25th
Here is a 'deleted' picture, supposedly from ALIEN Resurrection. In the script there are details of a jungle sequence (don't ask me where, I haven't read the script) and this picture may be the proof. Anyway, it is an interesting shot of the ALIENS. I will make a better picture thing in a few days....also, watch out, this pic is just under 300K. An extreme thanks to St. Just! Click Here to see it!
My Thoughts: The ALIEN on the right looks like it could have been snagged from existing pics..and the ALIEN on the left just seems fake. (look at the size/shape of its mouth)...and the leaves in the middle seem oddly fuzzed. Oh well, this should start some interesting opinions. I don't beleive that much of 'what was cut from the script' was filmed anyway. ;)

David Fincher (ALIEN 3 director) is in demand nowadays. Terry Fitzgerald (honcho with Todd McFarlane Productions) says that he is interested in getting Fincher to do a Spawn sequel. Now, for anyone that actually had to see Spawn one...well... I think Fincher has much better projects to choose from. :)

Leland Orser ["Purvis" in Alien Resurrection, and someone who didn't die in Saving Private Ryan] is starring in Very Bad Things, with Cameron Diaz, Jon Favreau, Christian Slater, Jeremy Piven and Daniel Stern, coming out November 20th. Bill Paxton ["Hudson" in Aliens] is starring in A Simple Plan opposite Billy Bob Thorton and Bridget Fonda, coming out October 4th. These were reported by Entertainment Weekly "Fall Movie Preveiw". Thanks to Sean for the news!

A *new* Dark Horse Novel has been released, it's called Aliens: Berserker written by Stephani Perry, who has written the novel adaptations to Aliens: Labyrinth and Aliens: The Female War with Steve Perry...[In my opinion, that book SUCKED.] We'll see how much the writing has improved...(Thanks Sean!)

Ahh, blimey. I'm *still* slipping, even though all y'all are helping me out at Worldcharts. But this week it was only a 1 spot drop. NOW, the votes will actually work I think. Thanks to all who have voted so far! Lets continue! So come'on, just click here to vote!

More ALIEN References, including the cover of a Carcass album! Thanks to Sean.

Please! I'm begging ya'll! Vote for the ALIEN Movies Resource Page at Worldcharts. This page is one of the original 100 when the list first started....21 weeks ago! But I'm slipping on the ranks! Please click here to vote! Thanks. :)

August 21st
Thanks to Starchild for being observant! Because, on October 21, 1998, *participate* in the Resurrection! "On the an upcoming release list at a local electroniques store they had Alien Resurrection PC Win95 set for an October 21, 1998 release date. I also checked with my local Software Ect. and they told me the Alien Resurrection strategy guide would be released on September 28, 1998. I have a feeling the strategy guide will be released closer to the release date of the game." Thanks SC!

Again, Starchild spouts his vast knowledge vault:
"The current issue of Entertainment Weekly has a list of all the fall films that are coming out. They have a small section devoted to Woody Allen's next film, "Celebrity." The film stars Kenneth Branagh and Leo "I'd better kiss Cameron's ass for my current status in Hollywood" DiCaprio and a host of other famous stars like Vanessa Redgrave, NBA star George Mason and everyone's favorite Alien Hunter-Killer, Winona Ryder. If this film is a success for Woody Allen, expect him to finally get to work on Company Man."

And the latest ALIEN related news, James Cameron and Stan Winston (ALIENS gurus) are leaving the board of directors of the company they founded, 'Digital Domain.' Now, the nitty gritty of this are on all the entertainment websites, but it basically means that Jimm and Stan still have a stake in the company, but they wont be helping them along.....with direct business intervention. Digital Domain will still make great special effects! :)

August 20th
ITS OFFICIAL!!! FOX is going to release the ALIENS : DIRECTORS CUT on Widescreen (or in this case, the 1.85:1 ratio! There is an insert in the new fox releases on its widescreen series, which includes an 'upcoming' list. This list includes ALIEN : Resurrection and ALIENS : Directors Cut! Finally, it'll be out. These will both be nicely THX remastered. Although The ALIENS : Directors Cut should be the 'ALIENS : Special Edition' (if it is the actual directors cut...did that make sense?)... I guess we'll all find out soon enough. :)

From Cinescape;
David Fincher is probably going direct the comic-book adaptation Shi, according to Shi-creator Bill Tucci at the San Diego Comic-Con. However Fincher's participation is not set in stone since Tucci, who wrote the script for the potential film, said that he would also like to direct the film. Photography should start in February with sights set on an August or September 1999 release date. If this is true, this will be Fincher's next movie after 'The Fight Club' is released.

August 19th
Skeeter! Email me! Your email addy wasn't working...I'm getting it bounced back. :) But I want the RED one *wink*...but gimmie some email, k? :)

From Ain't it cool news, Mike Mignola (Who did some groovey ALIEN art in the one shot "ALIEN SALVATION" comic (Go here for more)), wants Ron Perlman in the lead of his upcoming (well, hopeful) flick 'Hellboy' movie. And yeah, for those who don't know, Ron Perlman was 'Johner' in ALIEN Resurrection.

Som'more ALIEN References, from 'Dave' (Thanks to Ferro83), Conan O'Brien and Step by Step (Thanks to 'An Alien Fan.')

I have lots of Email to answer, I'll do that 2morrow. Sorry for the delay!

And Skeeter piped in with his lets-use-some-common-sense missiles : The only Sigourney Weaver project that is actually up on the IMDB, is A Map Of the World, co-starring Julianne Moore. Nothing more on Company Man...I think Woody Allen's company IS just about broke. 'Rescue Me', according to the grande dame herself, is a "romantic comedy." That description doesn't scream "Die Hard!" (Thanks Skeeter!)

August 17th
Thanks to Willie (from the OL-ALIENS-Collection) and Ain't It Cool News for snagging this major news bit!....Some actual ALIEN 5 news :
" At the San Diego Comicon this weekend Alien Resurrection screenwriter Joss Whedon was asked, "Are you, or is anyone, working on a script for Alien 5?" Joss replied: "Uhh, that's a big nooo. Did you see Alien 4?" This drew huge laughs from the audience to which he hid his head in his hands and was jokingly consoled by 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' cast members. "
Uh-oh. Now, this could mean that ALIEN 5 is really 'on the ropes' (at least for the time being) or that FOX nicely canned him before they got restarted with the project. In any case, this is actual ALIEN 5 news. Now, lets not hope he was joking.... (or should we?) :) Hmmm....it could be a way of 'passing the buck' of the domestic failure of ALIEN 4 as well...

August 17th
som'more ALIEN References, from Blacktint on National Lampoons 'Men in White.' Thanks to Blacktint! Note : next Saturday this flick airs again on Showtime. Watch for the references!

August 16th
Some more ALIEN References have been added, from Giger Art (thanks Ryan!), Coroner (Thanks again, RH!) and Medieval Times (merci LEMpilot!) :)

August 15th
Some Magazine Appearances....I'll update the Events later...(read all the news here first!) :
Winona Ryder is on the cover of 'Cowboys & Indians' September 1998 Issue,
James Cameron Article (on Spiderman...good summary of the legal mess) in 'Premiere Magazine',
and Sigourney Weaver makes an appearance in the 'US' magazine 'in style' issue (with a pic.)

The On-line ALIENS stash updated again! Great pics of the 'ALIENS 3-D' "experience"....give it a look. Also, there is now an official ALIENS vs PREDATOR game site! It is right Here! Thanks to WG.

August 14th
I'll respond to all my backlogged email soon, sorry for the delay. Also, I'm giving ya'll LOTS of advance notice to vote for the ALIEN Movies Resource Page at Worldcharts. I need all of you to vote! It just takes a second....please? Just Click Here to help out! Thanks. :)

There is a bit of ALIEN 5 (well, an ALIEN and the Title of ALIEN 5) on the cover of the latest Cinescape mag....but DONT be FOOLED! There is basically zippo for ALIEN news in the magazine. The interesting ALIEN related quote is shown below in August 4'ths news clip. :) (Just saving you all some $$$)

August 14th
Straight from Gord at Getinfested;
Aliens will be on Space: The Imagination Station (in Canada) at 9:00 pm Eastern Standard Time, on August 29th, followed by The Terminator at 11:00. 2 James Cameron movies! Now, if it is like the last time ALIENS was aired on the Space Channel, these will be the 'TV directors cuts' including the Sentry Guns, and other tidbits. Just go to the Cutscenes section of my webpage to see what will be on it. :) Thanks to Gord!

August 13th
Thanks to Dan G. for the next bit!
At Corona (film release news) has a new bit on ALIEN 5. Here it is:
August 11, 1998... An entertainment report from a British
tabloid has sparked the latest round of Internet rumors
about Sigourney Weaver's return in a fifth Alien film.
According to the gossip Weaver's signed a contract for the
fifth film that'll net her a cool $18 million dollars.
The thing is, it just ain't true. Nothing is happening on
the Alien 5 front -- nada, zip, zero. And believe us, the
amount of posturing and time it took before Weaver committed
to the fourth film (let alone the third picture's trials and
tribulations development period) means it's extremely unlikely
any contract talks have been going on. Right now the Alien 5
possibilities are as cold as Kane's long-dead corpse adrift
somewhere in deep space.

And Starchild pipes in:
Sigourney Weaver is still signed up for quite a few films. She's got the film "Company Man" with Woody Allen (although some of my sources have told me his production company is so bankrupt, he'll have to start filming without film.) She also has a top secret film which will co-star her with Bruce Willis called "Rescue Me". She won't say much about it, but rumor has it that this film is really Die Hard 4. (Remember the film "Blue Harvest"? That film was really a front for the film Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.) And the latest rumor to hit the Net is that she'll star with Geena Davis in the film adaptation of Michael Chriton's novel "Airframe". One of my sources shot that rumor down, saying it's not happening, but who knows.....

August 12th
The official word now is that the 'ALIENS Companion' book (read more about it Here is NOT cancelled. It is just delayed a little bit. Thanks to the On-Line ALIENS Collection.

The latest 'Previews' magazine lists a new H.R. Giger book, "Monsters from the ID: A H.R. Giger Bestiary" (by Morpheus International). As John B. on the ALIEN Newsgroup says, it containes Giger pics in comic format. More info should be coming soon!

Thanks to 'Starchild' for the next large batch of Info! :)
Barnes and Noble's website (http://www.barnesandnoble.com) reports that the Aliens 20th Anniversary Calendar is out. Here is what Barnes and Noble had to say on the calendar:
A must have for all fans of the movie series "Aliens". Twelve months of color featuring scenes from all four movies, "Alien, Aliens, Alien 3", and the smash hit of fall 1997, "Alien Resurrection". 1999 marks the 20th anniversary of the first movie in this classic SF-horror series.

Barnes and Noble has the price list at $12.99. So if you can find it, get it now! (About time they released an Aliens Calendar!)
An Image can be found on this site, and I will post another picture later on.

Michael Biehn gets to co-star with James Earl Jones and Kane in his next acting role! His next film is the sequel to the original Command and Conquer game, Command and Conquer2: Tiberian Sun. Here is the storyline in a nutshell:
In the original game, The Global Defense Initiate(the good guys), had to stop the evil Brotherhood of Nod from taking over the world. During the game, Tiberium, an alien crystal that is rapidly enveloping the planet, is used as money for both the GDI and NOD to buy equipment for their war. The game ends with Kane, the NOD leader, getting buried by rock when his base is destroyed by the GDI. The GDI also finds out that the Tiberium is harmful to humans and is slowly mutating Earth. Flashforward 20 years. In the sequel, warfare has now entered the 21st Century. GDI ignored the warnings of Tiberium and allowed it to overrun Earth. Because of the dangerous side effects, GDI moves humanity to the frozen north, where Tiberium can't grow. NOD, meanwhile, is fractured and in disarray, plus Kane is gone. But one day Kane reappears and declares war on the GDI. Thus the war between the GDI and NOD continues. Westwood has stated that in C&C2, you will actually get to see your character during the video sequences. If Michael Biehn is your character during the GDI missions, then this game will rock!!! I don't know what his role will be for the game, but any Aliens fan will want to check this game out to see him suited up as a GDI Marine.

John Hurt, (Kane in ALIEN) is the voice of 'The Horned-King' in the newly released on video 'The Black Cauldron.' Now, I first saw this movie in '85, and was amazed. On video, it is different...(I am 13 years older!) but the Horned King still has that powerful voice and presence. Ya might like it... it is the only Disney animiated flick to be rated 'PG.' It also cost 30 million to make and only took in 21 mil.

BIG NEWS
The following was first posted on the The On-line ALIENS Collection webpage. ALL credit goes to Willie!

Twentieth Century Fox to Release Product on DVD
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Twentieth Century Fox Home
Entertainment (TCFHE) announced today that it will enter the
open DVD market with six initial titles on November 3, 1998. Fox's
debut DVD titles include the popular favorites THE ABYSS, YOUNG
FRANKENSTEIN, PORKY'S, PREDATOR, JINGLE ALL THE WAY and MARKED
FOR DEATH and each is priced at US$29.98/C$32.98 (M.A.P. US$24.95).
Also part of the initial launch are HOME ALONE 3 and HOPE FLOATS,
with each of these new releases priced at US$34.98/C$36.98 (M.A.P.
US$29.98). Specific on-disc features and programming information
will be forthcoming.

``We have been watching the development of the marketplace and the
various anti-piracy measures very closely. It has reached the point
where we will make our entry with this varied mix of titles on DVD,''
noted Patricia Wyatt, President of Fox Consumer Products, the
retail-oriented, strategic alliance of Twentieth Century Fox Home
Entertainment and Twentieth Century Fox Licensing and Merchandising.
``As for a policy on new product releases, we plan to approach that
on a title-by-title basis going forward.''

Wyatt previously announced Fox's support of DIVX, stating, ``We
believe that DIVX is a great proposition for the growing number
of consumers entering the digital video marketplace.''

Now, this is GREAT news. Since FOX now supports the DVD format (although why they are putting 'Marked For Death' as one of thier first DVD titles is beyond me) this means 'future releases.' The ABYSS, if it is the special edition, can be a very good sign for the chances of the ALIEN series to be released....I mean, 'Predator' is coming out! Of course, Expect a possible release of the ALIEN series in the DVD format whenever Alien Resurrection is timed to go onto DVD...and since the DIVX format for ALIEN 4 has been already in the plans, the DVD (to me) seems to be forthcoming. The last lines on DIVX, Wyatt, IMHO basically says 'DIVX is a PROPOSITION,'....maybe just an option to DVD if needed? Cool! As always, when the DVD news on the ALIEN series comes in, I'll post it here. Once again, thanks to the On-line ALIENS Collection! It has also been updated with more toy, model, and pictures.

August 7th
'Entertainment Weekly' magazine (the new one) has a snip of a Sigourney Weaver mentioning: She is talking to TV people about an appearance, and maybe a reoccuring role on Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Sigourney says her daughter is such a fan that she would love to see mom on the show. [thanks to the person that sent this to me (your addy doesn't work), and the original person who posted it on the Sigourney Weaver newsgroup.]

August 7th
It looks like the ' ALIEN Movies Resource Page' is back on the good side of some search engines. So, to all the visitors, can you please vote for this page as being one of the best at Worldcharts? :) Thanks for your votes! The page's rank has been slipping lately, so lets start to get it up again! :) Thanks!

The On-line ALIENS collection has had some updates! Reviews, toy releases, unproduced toy info... it is all there.

And, as told on the O-l A C The Sci-Fi Channel's News of the Week site is running a review of Aliens Online.

August 5th
This news is from the Cinescape site:" Sigourney Weaver reportedly will receive $18 million, not $20 million as previously reported, for her star turn in Alien 5 according to BBC1. "
I think that this is a little odd, as the BBC would likely report in 'pounds' and not dollars. Oh well...

August 5th
A few more References, from An Alien Fan (Missile Master) and Starchild (Metriod.) Thanks!

August 4th
Many thanks to Dan G. (and SC) for the next bit 'o news on ALIEN 5:
From the new Cinescape mag : it said "What They're Giving Us...Sigourney Weaver battling double-jawed aliens in a script she'll help write. What We Really Want...Sigourney Weaver battling the scribe who wrote Alien 3 with help from double-jawed aliens."

Cinescape reports..."There also have been reports that
Sigourney Weaver has signed a multimillion dollar contract
to reprise her role of Ripley in a fifth Alien film, even amid
rumors that Fox was killing the franchise because of Alien
Resurrection's lackluster performance in North American
theaters. Which brings up the dark side of sequel-mania--
almost all of these franchises have seen a steady decline in
quality with each successive film (Aliens and Terminator 2:
Judgment Day arguable being the only exceptions). Sequels
usually lack the freshness and inspiration of the original,
and after a while, audiences--and filmmakers--do get tired.
After all, is there relly anything gained by seeing Rocky
punch someone else out or another island full of CGI dinosaurs?
"I didn't have anything to do with [Alien Resurrection],"
says Supernova director Walter Hill, who is credited as the
producer of every film in the Alien series. "I haven't even
seen it, to tell you the truth. We had somewhat of a falling
out with the studio about the notion of the undertaking. I
thought we should quit. "[Alien 3] was an honorable conclusion
to what should have been the series," Hillcontinues. "I never
really quite understood what the overriding reason was to get
back into it, except obviosly [the] monetary reasons.
"

Sigourney writing the next in the series? Well, Cinescape has been dead wrong in the past....but so has FOX and thier official information.....

August 4th
AHHHH! Here is some potentially bad news. Starchild got this one: " On July 29, 1998, I recieved a phone call from my local Barnes & Noble book store. They called to tell me that they recieved word from HarperPrism that "The Complete Aliens Companion" has been cancelled! They told me that the book kept getting delayed and delayed by Paul Sammon, the author, and HarperPrisim finally canned the book. "
Now, this conflicts with the official word over at the On-line ALIENS Collection site. Since it *is* Paul Sammon...who is expected to pull off a great 'ALIENS Companion'....I would suggest just giving it a bit more time. (I hope!)

AHHHH! Starchild again makes me sad/mad at FOX....Damn them with DIVX!
(Many thanks to Starchild!) This message may also inform you of the EVILS of DIVX. (Just chant "DIVX SUCKS!") This following image is of the the cover jacket for the Divx version of "Alien Resurrection".

The Divx website gives a complete listing on what is on the CD. Basically the CD contains all 108 minutes of the film, in PAN & SCAN format, and is encoded in Dolby 5.1 Digital Surround Sound. All this for $4.49 which gets you 48 hours of chestbursting fun. (You can watch it as many times as you want for 2 days.) The Widescreen Edition of Alien Resurrection has more extras than the Divx edtion! For crying out loud, Fox couldn't even get this disc encoded in THX!! If you want to watch the film after the fist 48 hours, you get to pay $3.25 for another 48 mind blowing hours of acid spitting fun. Currently, all Fox Divx discs aren't even on DVD yet. Which means you are going to keeping paying like there is no tomorrow just to watch Fox's films.
And guess what! Fox is going to release "Aliens" on Divx! But again, don't get too excited. Turns out this is once again a PAN & CRAP version of James Cameron's classic film. The film is in Dolby Digital and for some strange reason, the Divx website has the film listed at running 116 minutes. If the "Alien Resurrection" disc is any indication, don't expect any cool extras on the "Aliens" disc. Which means you aren't going to see the Special Edition.

Now folks, the basic gist is that FOX does not currently support DVD, although there are rumoured titles (like the X-files movie and Titanic), bet right now FOX is gunnin' with DIVX. Until FOX commits to DVD, don't expect the ALIENS special editions to appear on this format... for a while. :(

August 4th
*finally*! I was waiting for a site like this to appear! Folks, get ready to Get Infested! This is a brand new site that explores and details the ALIENS universe in comics. It is easy to navigate, nice graphics, and is a great comic book resource. I would like to welcome it to the ALIEN world on the web. So, Get Infested!.

The New 'Complete Aliens book' by Paul Sammon (take a look for it on the Merchandise page has been delayed.... as reported on the On-line Alien Collection website. (Which has been updated! New ALIEN series card site, shirt info.... :) The book *will* be finished, but the author is going to take until fall to get the next draft in... perhaps early 99 for the release. Thanks to WG for the info. :) This can only mean one thing....MORE INFO IS GONNA BE IN IT! ;)

I'll respond to the mounds of email piling up in my in-box a within a few days. Thank you for waiting!

Yep, the ALIEN Movies Resource Page just turned an official 1 year old today. So, I got about 26,000 hits in one year. Not bad! So, I got some useless stats for you to admire:
Most visits in one day : 256 (using now defunct counter, slight estimate) on November 31 / December 1st
Least visits in one day : (About 20 when this page first started.)
Average visits a day : About 75-85 during slow periods, 115-135 during peak periods.

I recieve multiple emails every day from visitors around the world, and have made lots of 'virtual buds. :)
This page began late 1995, and was basically a personal homepage, until Summer of '97 when I worked on formulating an ALIEN based resource website. Here is an Early version of my html site. (Pee-yu!) :)
Since that time, this site has grown and I personally consider it to be one of the top 5 ALIEN sites on the 'net. It has also grown in visitor volume and content beyond whatever I thought it would be. :) Feel free to gimmie praise by Mailing Me! :)

So, do you like this page? Then please vote for this page as being one of the best at Worldcharts! Thanks for your votes, I really appreciate them. :)

More tidbits from Starchild: Sigourney Weaver has been nominated for an Emmy Award for her role as Lady Claudia in Snow White: A Tale of Terror. [Nathan's note : Weaver was GREAT in this role....she did her character perfectly!] The Emmy's will air in September but you might want to tape the event: NBC plans to devote 4 hours of air time to the event this year.

Entertainment Weekly had this to report in their "Saving Private Ryan" issue on David Fincher's "The Fight Club". It turns out that Brad Pitt had his two front teeth chipped out so he could portray his character, a man who fights in illegal underground bouts, more realisticly. Ouch! First Sigourney had to shave her hair off to star in Alien3, now Brad Pitt is chipping his front teeth, what next?! Pretty soon, we'll have stars amputating their arms and legs in his David Fincher's next film!

Also in the same issue is word that James Cameron will star in his first major motion picture. Yup, you heard that one right! The film, called "The Muse" will be starred and directed by Albert Brooks. In it he plays a down-and-out screenwriter who gets some inspiration from a beautiful LA woman. James Cameron will be starring with directors Martin Scorsese and Rob Reiner. The directors will star as themselves in the film. No word yet on when the film will arrive in theaters.

And finally, Leland Orser (Purvis in ALIEN 4) LIVED in "Saving Private Ryan"! Yes he did not die during the first 30 minutes of the film. Instead, he had the small role as a Lt. in the 101st Airborne who was in charge of a small group of men. His character was a nervous man who looked as if he had gone through hell during the D-Day landings.
Mega thanks to starchild for finding out all this stuff.... so all you readers give him a pat on the back. :)

August 1st
More ALIEN References! This time, a 2nd one from the Foxtrot comic, and a good one from the movie 'Suburban Commando' (You know, the one with the Hulkster! :) Thanks to Ferro 83!
Som'more references from St. Just, from Entertainment Tonight, and a new section, sorta an 'Inspired by' type of area. Thanks to St. Just!

I've recently read the Vincent Ward script to ALIEN 3. (The rejected one.) It is plain to see that ALIEN 3 (the actual movie) is based on the premise of this script. Now, although the planet is made out of wood (*cough*), it does have a similar vien of technology avoidance a la Alien 3 (the movie.) And you want bloodbath? Well, this movie had some serious raining of the red stuff. It also had some scenes that I am sure will integrate themselves into the future series of ALIEN movies. Now, the 1st bit is sorta boring...but it does pick up. Not a bad read! Go to the script section to check it out.

I've also read the "Alien : Extinction" script written by Vb4ever in the Fan Fiction section. This is a nice read as well!

It seems that ALIEN alumni David Fincher (Alien 3 director) is keeping nice and busy. He has 'The Fight Club' done (or at least almost complete), as this next tidbit reveals. There has been a rumoured casting for his screen adaptation of James Ellroy's novel The Black Dahlia. Fincher rocks, so its nice to see him working on more movies! :)

July 29th
Alien : Resurrection has been nominated for the 1998 Hollywood Digital Award, which is all about the best digital effects. *All* the other special effects movies are there as well....so expect Titanic to take it. More news about this is at the Cinescape site.

If you are looking for an ALIEN item, you can always try Ebay actuion / selling place. It is a public 'auction' hplace, where there are alwasy some ALIEN items listed....just do a search!

July 28th
Sorry for the major delay on the 'ol updates, everything is just 'in the que.' Unless one of YOU want to write it for the page.... Just Mail me if ya wanna. :) I have several pics to add to the picture pages (thanks to Starchild) but I haven't gotten around to actually uploading them. And for those other webpages that use pictures from my page....I can't stop you from using your mouse to save them, but anybodyss page will always be better with thier "original content."

There is an advertisement floating around for ALIEN Resurrection on PPV. It is an edited version of the trailer, with the release date of the PPV thing. I saw this on a big-ass music store that sold special direct tv dishes & tvs, large tvs, dvds, and more tvs.

Michael Biehn (Hicks) and Ron Perlman (Johner) are both in the tv show "The Magnificent Seven" which has been renewed as a 'mid season replacement'...so it is going into its 2nd year. Cool.

NOW is the time to get your ALIEN Resurrection toys. Locally, the 'figures' have been reduced in price BIG-TIME... like 10 bucks Canadian at Wal-mart. Loads of Newborn figures are on the shelves.....

Ahhh, Worldcharts! Please vote for the "ALIEN Movies Resource Page" at Worldcharts! Just Click Here to vote. Thank-you! :)

"Linehan" is a Canada based movie-interview show. The interviewer is, well, Brian Linehan. (I think that is the name.) He is known for asking 'good' questions, and having a VAST knowledge of the people he is interviewing. On the weekend, there was a nice 10 minute interview clip thing with Winona Ryder and Sigourney Weaver for ALIEN Resurrection. (Check for Repeats!) During the interview, Weaver gave this bit of info.... that after the screen tests in England, she hoped on a plane for New York (where she was living at the time.) When she got home, she got a call, from Ridley Scott, telling her she had got the job as Ellen Ripley in ALIEN. What is cool about that is the fact that Scott didn't 'put her on hold' for a few days before deciding to cast her. Sorta cool, IMHO.

Once again, surf on over to the On-line ALIENS Collection to read up on more toy news, including the *new* 12-inch ALIEN figure (!!!) Check it out!

July 24th
Cool news! Willie (Visit his site NOW) and NewbornO nabbed some toy news. Here is an OFFICIAL response that sorta says it all :
Thanks for your inquiry! The new Alien Hive Wars figures will consist of 6 new never before released figures: 2 different Predators, 2 different Warrior Aliens and 2 different Marines. The figures will be 5" to 6" tall, will be fully poseable & equipped and retail for $5.99 each. They should first become available in late September.
This is from KB toys. Poseable Marines! Cool. :) Thanks Willie and Newborn0!

Thanks to Dsquake66 (I think this is right) for the ALIEN newsgroup posting about Columbia House info. It looks like ALIEN Resurrection is almost up for an OFFICIAL to-buy release. The following listings were at the Columbia House website in the 'new release' section....
The latest, power-packed chapter in the Alien saga finds Ellen Ripley (Weaver)--and the deadly Alien Queen inside her--brought back to life by military scientists. This letterboxed edition includes special behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with cast members. 1998 C 0 Mins. R Mono LBX 1-cassette CC
So, it looks like the Widescreen version will have the same 'ALIEN 4' behind-the-scenes that was on the widescreen release for the rest of the trilogy. FOX, you suck if it is the same thing. Notice the mistake CH made on the running length (0 minutes??) and the Sound quality. (I didn't know that THX works in mono sound...) Also, the Idiots at Columbia house made an error on the Movie Release year. Ug.
The latest chapter in the Alien saga finds Ellen Ripley (Weaver)--and the Alien Queen inside her--brought back to life by military scientists. But when the creatures break loose, Ripley and a crew of space bandits are the only ones who can save the Earth from their deadly onslaught! 1997 C 108 Mins. R Surround Stereo 1-cassette THX CC

Starchild knows his stuff. He mailed me with these multiple tidbits:
Tonight at 6:30 EST (July 21, 1998) Eonline will broadcast the live premiere of Saving Privare Ryan. "Saving Private Ryan?" & the "Alien Saga?!" Well, Matt Damon will probably appear at the gala event (he stars as Private Ryan) and if he shows up, Winona Ryder will for sure be there with him. So if there are any Winona Ryder fans out there, they might want to watch the premiere to see if she shows up. The address for Eonline is http://www.eonline.com

Also, remember Leland Orser? He played as Purvis in Alien Resurrection. Well, the Internet Movie Database reports that he has a small part in the film. What he does I do not know (odds are, he'll probably play a solider who gets blown away during the first 30 minutes of the film). He might show up at the premiere of Saving Private Ryan tonight.

The latest issue of In Style magazine contains even MORE photos of the Cannes Film Festival. They contain many photos of Ryder and Weaver and the MANY dresses they wore to the event. If you are a major fan of these two actresses, you might want to pick a copy up.

During the Cinemax 'Alien series marathon' they showcased about 10 minutes on what creature effects are. They interviewed this guy named Tony who has worked on creature effects for many films and TV shows. Anyhow, he said that his inspiration for doing a job in creature effects was the first Alien film! He said he was totally amazed by the chestbursting scene so much, that he recreated it himself (starring himself). He took pictures of it and sent it to special effects companies as his resume. Well, Stan Winston must have liked what he saw because he hired the man to do the chestbursting scene in the Hive, in Aliens(remember when the colonist had that Alien burst out of her chest?). Well he was in charge of the total design and execution of that effect. [Thanks a million Starchild! :)

July 21st
The New 'NEON' magazine (UK based) has another wee ALIEN reference, this time in an article titled "100 movie cut scenes." (or something similar.) Number 53-55 is where "The CAT in ALIEN gets fed something from a futuristic can/tuna, and IAN HOLM (Ash) goes nutty and hits something" Okie, Okie, not the exact words, but I read it a few days ago.

I slipped just 2 spots at Worldcharts. So remember to vote for moi. I wanna break into the top 30! Just Click Here to give me a vote. Thank you!

I will add several more pics to either the ALIEN 4 or PEOPLE picture pages within the next few days.

Blue Sky / VIFX is the company that did the special effects for ALIEN 4. Now, I didn't know that they were partially owned by Fox. They also have a deal with FOX that sorta makes so that they do FOX movies effects for a bit. This likely means that when Alien 5 rolls around in a few years, that BlueSky will do the effects. Mind you, this is complete guessing on my part. :)

Some New ALIEN References, thanks to Starchild. They are from 'Metriod' and 'Wishmaster.'

July 18th
Starchild has this info : "On July 19, 1998, at 8:00 p.m. EST the Cinemax Channel will be airing the entire Alien Saga. I believe they MIGHT even show the documentary on how they made Alien3(they were showing scenes of it this past week)!" Make sure you catch it! Thanks SC. :)

July 18th
Steve must have the 'Mask of Zorro' score on CD, 'cause he mailed me with the following :
"The Mask Of Zorro song number 9 has Aliens all over it !!!!!!! If ya didn't know James Horner did the score...." And for the uninformed, James Horner did the music to ALIENS...

The The ALIEN Movies Resource Page and the ALIEN Collectors Homeworld. are still ranking at WorldCharts. Please vote for both! Come'on, the AMRP is almost at its highest ranking ever!!
Click here to vote for the ALIEN Movies Resource Page and click here to vote for teh ALIEN Collectors Homeworld. Thanks!

ALIEN director Ridley Scott was once gonna do the movie "I Am Legend" with Arnold Shwarzenegger in the title role. It was a trip into another Future based film, but not like Blade Runner.... I just read the script, and it is a nice read, I can totally picture Arnie in this movie. And imagine the Ridley Scott visuals...You can read the script here. (It won't stay on my account for too long though.... :)

July 17th
Rumour has it from the ALIEN newsgroup, from J. Prater, that FOX is running an ALIEN 5 disinformation campaign. So maybe it is true that Joss Whedon isn't writing the script?! ;) This is basically a reminder that most of the rumours that ya read will remain as rumours. :)

The Amazing On-Line ALIENS Collection had a large news update. Please pay a visit to Willie's site. If ya visit you can see Hobby Link Japan links to the Tsukuda pre-painted model/toys based on ALIEN Resurrection ditties! (very cool. :)

Also on the site is the following :
You can win 100% guranteed authentic from Fox Alien Resurrection props? How 'bout an Alien Resurrection jacket? Tank top? Trilogy Gift Set? Enter Fox's PPV (Pay-Per-View) website and play the Alien Resurrection game now! [Many, many, many, many thanks to Willie and his great page. :)]

And, here is another preview of the upcoming Alien vs Predator game.

July 14th
Wow, long time and no update. Just a few tidbits:
New ALIEN Reference, from Critters 4 (thanks An Alien Fan!) and more info on the 'in Living Color' reference (thanks Jack!).

Winona Ryder has signed to do the move 'Lost Souls.' This is almost a sure sign that ALIEN 5 will *not* be made in 1998, or 1999.

I'm up to 37th spot at the best homepage voting at Worldcharts! Thanks to all who voted...I'll post more voting info later in the week. But the ALIEN Collectors Homeworld slipped a few notches! Nooo! So remmeber to vote for that page too. :)

Wanna catch some ALIEN references? Then watch the Comedy Central (in the US) for Saturday Night Live re-runs with Sigourney Weaver (this will occur on the 20th), and the Comedy Network for 'em in Canada. Also, the Comedy Network in Canada also airs all the old 'In Living Color' episodes.

July 11th
Not much going on in movie news. It looks like James Cameron's next project will be producing the 'Planet of the Apes' movie, and I think that J.P. Jeunet is working on a French Film.

This page is almost 1 year old. I hope to have lotsa more stuff on-line by that time....I am almost done a very, very quickly made BLOOPER list for the series, and please feel free to email me the bloopers & goofs (and I don't mean hudson) you found in the series. Thanks!

The super Kdawg is still working on his ALIEN ANTHOLOGY page....and it'll be a good one when it is done. But, for now he has made a brand-spanking new "ALIEN TOP 25" list. This lists what is the top 25 (in his opinion, and it is a good one :) ALIEN related sites on the Internet. This is a great page, as it provides a quick, easy, and painless (see why I like it? ;) links to the top ALIEN info resources. Top Job Kdawg! The ALIEN Movies Resource Page is ranked at number 4. (I'll get to numero 2 eventually. :)

Speaking of Rankings, remember that there are *2* ALIEN pages on the Worldcharts homepage top 100 listings. They are The ALIEN Movies Resource Page and the ALIEN Collectors Homeworld. Please vote for both!
Click here to vote for the ALIEN Movies Resource Page and click here to vote for teh ALIEN Collectors Homeworld. Thanks!

I'm in a full-time job, have a 6 hour a week class, and a meager social life. So, if I don't reply to your emails, just cut me some slack! I try to get back to all who email me, but hey, I dont' spend alotta time on the 'pooter. Patience. :) I also tweaked some html coding over the entire page, and since I did this html coding by HAND (no html editor for me) mistakes are gonna happen. If you see a flub, please Mail Me and I'll fix it ASAP.

And finally, I'm moving the news from April - May to an oldnews page....and if there are any large pictures on the older news page they are gonna be taken down and moved...just so ya know.

July 8th
Hehehe I love the huge flucuations in visits this page can get over the course of a week. Yesterday was double what I've been averaging for the week. :) Thanks to all the international folks that this page attracts...it is always very cool to hear from you, and don't worry, i'm pretty good at deciphering any sort of English. :) Thanks folks!

This months (I think) NEON magazine, which is a movie mag based in the UK (they get all the best magazines :) has a weeee bit of ALIEN info (reference?) :
There is a section of '100 movies renamed' so if it was a movie like 'Jaws' the movie would be renamed 'The one with the Shark.' See what I mean? Now, within the top 10 of the list, these 2 showed up, "The one with the ALIEN" and "The one with more ALIENS and the annoying kid." I'm still drawing a blank on these two... :)

Hey folks! For all of you webmasters that like my alien related pictures that I got up on the page, I did scan most of these myself...not the ones on the news page, but for 'special' areas of my page. So, if you decide to do the 'cut and paste' job with info that either I wrote or someone else wrote, it is nice to have a link back to the origin of the writing. Same goes for some pictures....Sorta like 'netiquette' :) I just added a 'production' pic of the ALIEN, and some production design of the ALIEN queen at the picture sections....more to come!

In front of some local theatres, they list 'movie facts' and tidbits of info on the screen before the movie starts (to keep the audience entertained I guess.) Anyway, they have one that lists Sigourney Weaver doing voiceover advertisments for Buick. Old info, but still ALIEN related.

June 6th
Mmmm! The 'ol ALIEN Movies Resource Page moved up a few spots at Worldcharts to 48th spot. The Alien Collectors Homeworld is also on the list at 83rd spot. Its moving up too!
So give the ALIEN world of ranked sites a vote!
Click Here to vote for the ALIEN Movies Resource Page, and then Click here to vote for the ALIEN Collectors Homeworld. Thanks!

Starchild has some good news: It seems that the episode of 'MADTV' with the Clayalien Resurrection spoof WILL air over the summer. The only problem is that they did not tell me when. So you will have to watch every episode of MADTV until they air the episode. Since the beginning of June, they have NOT aired the episode yet. This is a GREAT spoof...so start watching that late-night tv. :)

July 5th
Its time for Worldcharts! Can you all please gimme a quick vote? Just Click here to vote for the ALIEN Movies Resource Page. Also, click here to vote for the ALIEN Collectors Homeworld. Thanks!

WG at the On-Line ALIEN Collection found a new preview for the upcoming ALIEN Resurrection game. Click here to read it!

The University Server will be down from 10:00pm local time tonight to the wee hours of the morning on the 3rd. This page will be unavailble during those times....and sorry for the page messin' up a few days ago, the evil-university internet server pulled a homer and messed up.

I have a few news updates to do (tonight or tomorrow), and pics to add.....and even some section updates / additions, hopefully that will be done on the weekend. (hopefully!) Thanks for waiting.

And there are still fair amount of ALIEN Resurrection toys around....now may be the time to scoop 'em up! (discount!)

July 1st
HAPPY CANADA DAY EVERYONE! hehehe, just some national pride coming out. :) I added a few more ALIEN References, from St. Just. Well, just one for now, the other one is just being checked. ;) It is for the movie Legend, which i think anyone who has seen it can say there is a 90% similarity clause for one scene.... ;)

A new pic was added on the cut-scenes page, it is a small ditty from ALIENS...the cut scene with Burke (cocooned) and Ripley. There is *another* image which I have somewhere, that is a pic that shows the cocoon...if anyone has that, please send it to me! ('cause I don't want to look for mine. :) A few more pics will be added to the ALIEN 4 picture page soon, featuring some promo shots of Ripley. Special thanks are shouted out to St. Just & Starchild. Ya rock! :)
