Sean sent me this info : In the Alien Resurrection novel it lists Dr.
Wrens first name as 'Mason', while in 'Cinescape' magazine it lists it as 'Randell.' Somebody has
some communication problems going on...

box office, taking in only $1,293,424 Million dollars.
This brings its total domestic (North American) box office take at $44
Million dollars. However, it has taken in over $90 million in worldwide revenue.
Wow! Not only is Sigourney Weaver nominated for 'best actress - Science Fiction' but
so is Winona Ryder..... for 'best supporting actress - Science Fiction.' This is for the
Blockbuster awards. Check 'em out!

make the top ten in box-office reciepts for last weekend. That means it took under
$1.5 million dollars domestically. World-wide however, it has taken in
over $90 million bucks, with more major markets to come.
For instance, Alien Resurrection was #1 in Britian for
2 weeks before the new 'James Bond Flick' opened.
Sigourney Weaver is in nomination at the Fourth Annual Blockbuster Entertainment
Awards as Favorite Actress for her role in Alien Resurrection. Look at the

Sigourney Weaver is also nominee at the Golden Globe for her role in The Ice Storm as
Best Supporting Actress.

box-office bucks, which makes back its base $70 Million dollar cost.

ALIEN : Resurrection took in $6.66 Million
dollars this weekend, bringing its total domestic (North American) gross to $36.247 Million bucks. This is about half of what the cost was to make the
movie.... and the movie has basically made its money back if you include international revenue.
ALIEN 3 for example, made $103 million in
international revenue, while
just $57 million domestically.
The "Movie Show" aired a half hour special on Sigourney Weaver, including
TONNES of interviews, which included an ALIENS - on the set thing. Very
cool. There was also a few behind the scenes clips...I would have posted this info but I found
out about the show a few minutes before it aired! Doh!

I recieved a rumour that the tentative title for ALIEN 5 is
"Relevation"... but I suggest you take that as a rumour and nothing else.
Just a Reminder, ALIENS was filmed in a 1.85:1 'widescreen' ratio, not
2.35:1 as ALIEN were ALIEN 3 were.
The First weekend domestic (North American) Box office gross for ALIEN
Resurrection was $25.789 Million dollars. It came in second place
behind "Flubber."
It should easily make back its cost to make of $70 Million.
I picked up ALIEN and ALIEN 3 in widescreen video today. FOX pulled a stupid move though...
The "behind the scenes featurette" are EXACTLY the same for each video...
and it is the promotional clip for Alien Resurrection!! (Which I am
sure EVERYONE who has read this has seen 75% of it already. In fact, I just saw over half it it on
"The Movie Show" half an hour before I got the video :O) What
the
heck is with that?!?! Dumb move by FOX. As well, the single "original theatrical trailer" for
ALIEN 3 I don't think is availible at the Official Alien 4 site in thier trailer downloads for Alien
3. ALIEN 3 looks beeeeutiful in widescreen. Highly recommended.
Also included with the Videos was a little promo/add/paper for the widescreen videos that
had a drawing of an ALIEN on it...AND NONE OF THESE VIDEOS ARE DIRECTORS CUTS. Ahhh Rats.
ALERT! ALERT! The SPACE
channel will be showing "Behind the Scenes : Alien Resurrection" on
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 3rd. (I think that is what the advertisement said....
) This is likely the same making-of that aired on the Sci-Fi Channel in
the U.S. So set your VCR's!!
Well, I saved those 15+megs of ALIEN pictures from the official site for
nothing. I don't have the URL handy.. (I'm using a text based browser to
update now)... but ALL the pictures, or slides that the Officail Alien : Resurrection site has
ever shown are now availible in the 'archive section.' Just go to slides,

Quick note: I think that the 'Showest' Trailer for Alien 4 (the first one ever shown to an audience)
had different camera angles and voice dubbing included on the scene in that preview. (the 'my baby'
part.) I was expecting the 'Showest'
shots in the actual movie during this scene, so the change to what they had was easily
noticed! I don't know of any more linnks or sites that contain the Showest Trailer. It is
about 2.8 megs, so if I find a site I can put it on I'll post the URL here.
I have had a few emails about the status of Alien 5. now, I would prefer to just post facts about
the next ALIEN installment.... and will skip over what I know to be outrageous speculation and
rumours. However.....
There was a change in the Joss Whedon Script concerning the ending. The scene that was added late
(just before the premiere) was the bit with Ripley and Call talking over ... uhh.... you know. The
original script included the
Betty landing (I think, I have not read it yet :) and Joss Whedon (the writer) included one bit
that could
nicely lead into an Alien 5. Either read the (end of the)
alien 4 scripts to figure out what happened by Clicking here or just
surf the net and over to this small
Alien 5 site. (I
don't want to spoil everyone's movie watching experience..)

Ahhh CRAP! I got a message from Chris Brown (thanks) that the 'Access Hollywood' TV show aired
a FULL 1 hour special on Alien : Resurrection and 'Flubber.' I
don't receive this show on my cable... but I hear it was a GREAT half hour 'o ALIEN information,
with interviews, CG clips, and goodies galore. Anyone got this on tape for me? I would
be happy to pay for shipping and the video... :)

They went to Amalgamted
Dynamics, talking to Alec Gillis & Tom Woodruff (creature effects). They
showed the props for failed clones 1 through 7! Very cool! They also
show quick glimpses of the Newborn, the best sneak peaks by far, very
creepy! They also showed a good part of the underwater sequence, and I
must say, the CGI aliens look fantastic! Some of the best CGI I have
ever seen. It made the CGI Jabba from Star Wars Special Edtion look pale
in comparison! And for me thats saying something, because I am a Star
Wars fanatic!
Maybe I'll get that show when ALIEN 5 rolls along. :)

Ron Perlman will be interviewed on the 25th (tuesday) at 8pm Eastern,

"Entertainment Tonight" showed a preview for stories for 'next-weeks' hour
long edition... and they showed some Alien : Resurrection
behind-the-scenes goodies. That means that it is very likely that there will
be clips on one of the DAILY weekday shows this week on Alien 4. Just
so ya know. :)

HMV in the UK lists that the ALIEN trilogy box set will be available in
widescreen and pan & spam formats.
These videos will include trailers (all of them?.)
Alien, Aliens (special edition), and Alien 3. As well, there will be an "making of
Alien Resurrection" tape!. All 3 movies will be THX digitally remastered.
This is similar to other Fox Widescreen release box
sets... with the exception of the 'making-of' tape :))
I don't know if this information is 100% correct, or just limited to the UK... or just in
VHS PAL format, but it
is definatly cool! Keep your fingers crossed!

The latest 'movieline' magazine has an add for the Alien trilogy (on video?).
I would really recommend the latest 'premiere' magazine with the "Journal of Sigourney
Weaver from the set of Alien : Resurrection. Very Cool! With some
pictures that seem to be right from the Official site.
The premier in France went well.. other than the fact that the film broke and had too be fixed
for a bit. Some of this was shown on "Entertainment Tonight" which I missed, naturally. :)
I have a few reviews for the Alien : Resurrection soundtrack. I will
post these in the Alien 4 Music section tomorrow or on Saturday. Keep

This news is sorta related to the Alien : Resurrection
soundtrack...
Alien 4 was temp tracked with the score from "The Relic,"
which was composed by John Debney.
The soundtrack to Alien : Resurrection is now
availible in stores. I'll be getting mine within a few days.
I will have a tracklisting and several reviews of the score within a few
days. Unfortunatly, some of the alt.cult-movies.alien reviews have
not been very good. But, they have not been bad either! I'll make my
mind up when I listen to it....which is hopefully soon! Click

Oh, and some questions have been asked about the November 26th release for
Alien 4. It is on the 26th, the day before
Thanksgiving in the U.S. I do not know if that is the same day it opens
in the Great White North (Canada) as we had our Thanksgiving last month.

on A&E they aired a special, narrated by Mark Hamill (luke skywalker) on ALIENS
and monsters from the movies. Well, surprise, they showed some clips to ALIEN and ALIENS
widescreen... as well has having clips from an interview with Sigourney Weaver
from the set of ALIENS from 1986! They also had some modern
interview clips with Veronica Cartwright (sp?) who talked about the
movie as well. Very cool stuff. I wonder what this ALIENS interview was
part of??

SE... but this was just so COOL! Go SPACE channel!
The news keeps on coming. From the good 'ol fox publicity department, there will be a trailer
to the 'X-files' movie (called 'Blackwood') attached to ALIEN :

Okie folks, I've had a couple inquiries about the "availiblity of music on my site." This
is in regards to the ALIEN, ALIENS, ALIEN 3, and ALIEN 4 soundtracks. I will *
NOT* put any of the music from the CD soundtracks on my site. That will
take LOADS of server room, which I don't have. There is also a wee think called 'copyright
infringement.' Maybe in time I will have a few audio "samples" from some tracks, but for now...
nadda. If anyone would like to make a few short Real Audio
samples from the soundtrack, be my guest, and send them to me! Then I will put them on my page.

The Alien : Resurrection TV adds are starting
to make some appearences. The one I saw had shots from 'Trailer B,'
primarily from the beginning and flashed the green 'splash' title shots.
For all you Canadians out there, this was on the new "Space" channel, and
aired during the opening show for that channel. (I think.) So set
your VCR's!
The Comedy Central "Saturday Night Live" rerun stars 'Sigourney Weaver'

BIG NEWS
As reported in the alt.cult-movies.alien newsgroup, The ALIEN Trilogy
will be released on widescreen!
Although the release of the movies was rumoured for ages....if Suncoast video has
a release date... who knows?
This will be part of FOX's Widescreen Series (with "True Lies," "Abyss" etc;) and will likely
include the original trailers for the movies, and, like "The Abyss" be the (I hope)
directors Cuts / Special Editions. My guess is that it will be released sometime before
Alien : Resurrection hits the theatres. COOL!!

And there will be a minor reshoot regarding the ending!!! I must know the change!!

A few more pages on the site went online. I am having problems with
some images I want to upload... and it looks like the page will all
be up in September. Beyond that there is just some tweaking of the HTML.

I have uploaded the Alien 3 People page. Pictures of the characters
will get there as soon as I get to a scanner. As Well, once the
pictures come, I will have a brief overview of the Actors / Actress
careers beyond the alien movie.
And, as the Entertainment Tonight Clip was just a CLIP... expect more
to show up on that show in the future!

WATCH ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT!
The ET clip showed a "head burster" and had some behind the scenes
action from ALIEN : Resurrection. They also announced that Alien 4 would
open on "the day before thanksgiving" which is November 26th. One clip included
a 'behind the scenes' with Jean Peirre-Juenet and some dummy-aliens. As well,
I thought to have seen Ripley and a facehugger underwater!
THANK GOODNESS I pressed [record] on the VCR! Entertainment tonite came in handy!

Only 99 days until Resurrection!
My A3people page will be up within a few days. This page will soon
have brief bio's of the main actors involved in the movie, but for
now has some 'Weyland-Yutani' information on the Fiorna161 occupants.
Most of the info comes from the Alien 3 trading cards. (Get them!)
I expect to have the Alien 3 section done in 2 days, and some
